Great idea! We also have this to occur often and the guests gets frustrated when they entered their mail but did not receive the receipt when checking out... well yeah - they did but just Mews blocking a merge of profile on returning guests.. 🥴

An internal wait list is needed to note in guests to contact with available rooms as a first priority when availability presents itself on fully booked days! Right now, we use an Excel sheet for this...
We had this function in our prior booking system with a drop down menu of three options of "business", "private" and "other" for phone and mail to choose from. When searching in the search field, the guest could be found as long as we had the mails or number added in one of these to the guest profile. So smart and avoided the guest to be worried!
