  1. By doing more actions Mews to Mews on Zapier we would be able to have an infinite possibility of automations in various fields such as :
    - payments : charge 50% remaining of a flexible rate, 30 days before arrival
    -preauthorisations : on day of arrival, charge automatically the preauthorisations. If failed send email to team and guest...
    - out of order : if maintenance issue task, turn property to OOO
    -...
    If doable the possibilities would be endless and allow advance users through automation to personalize/automate their PMS

  2. Salto can receive a check out command from PMS. Currently, MEWS does not send these commands via the key cutter integration to Salto (early check out fe.).

    Would be a great benefit (and improvement in terms of security) since currently we cannot create a new key via our integrating party for Kiosk.

  6. Hi there, Mews Team!

    Laurie here, reaching out from Zapier Support. One or more of our mutual customers has requested a new feature in your app.

    Specifically, they'd like to see an action that would let them close bookings at a specified time every day.

    An example use case for this would be to ensure same-day bookings aren't made after a certain time of day.

    I don't see this available in the API at this time:

    But if this is, or would be, possible, we'd love to hear it!

  8. Currently, a user who is setting up the key cutter will need to manually map individual spaces if their space numbering format is different from that in their key cutter software.

    This can be very manual and error prone as it involves several clicks and manual typing in of door lock numbers in the key cutter software into Mews. This cannot be done in batch currently.

    One suggestion would be to have a downloadable excel file with all space numbers in Mews, the user then downloads the file adds the corresponding door lock ids from their key cutter system. Then…

  11. (EN) When the customer returns their card, I place the card on the SSalto Reader. Click the card to check-out button. The card is read and the corresponding room is displayed at check-out.

  12. Assaabloy provides now door locks solution with possibility to the guest to press a button to set status do not disturb or make my room.

    Does the DND/make my room status communication between Commander and Assa Abloy could be developped ?

    Then communication between commander and roomchecking ?

  13. If the GuestID can be written on the RFID in Sector2 of the Onity KeyCard System, Guests can authenticate at the POS for placing F&B orders on the room bill.

    In this case there's no more need to write down the guest's name, only the key card is needed. The key card is read by an RFID reader coupled to the POS. The guestID is used to authenticate the guest and post the bill to Mews calling the API's. Supplementary the guest's last name can be checked to engage two-factor-authentication.

  14. We now have the ability to connect task to reservations in Mews and this functionality has been added to the Mews API. However it would be really useful to have this added to the Zapier functionality as we have a number of zaps that create tasks in Mews, currently just putting the reservation number into the description field.

  15. For the packages that include breakfast or other meals, the integration with the POS should post into the POS the meals that have been sold in the PMS. That way people at the restaurant have to know ahead and keep their inventory system.

  16. Pull the guests "check in and check out time" data from the channels and update directly to the reservations "arrival" section.
    At the moment this information goes to "notes" but it would be great to have it automated.

  17. When integration partner receives token of property to connect to Mews PMS, the partner only has email address of the hotel.
    Can we ad more fields such as :
    1-phone number of the contact - so that the partner can call directly the hotel if hey do not reply by email.

    2- have a field with the number of rooms of the property to save time and start building the demo

  18. It should be possible to map products to the channel, which are charged once per person and once per stay. Otherwise we are not able to sell our packages online, which include like one massage per guest during the stay.

  19. You have an API endpoint https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/finance#get-all-accounting-items

    Returned Accounting Item data has OrderId field:

    Unique identifier of the order (or Reservation which is a special type of order) the item belongs to.

    Can you add ReservationId field into Accounting Item?

    The problem is that we can't know if an accounting item belongs to any specific reservation or not.

    I tried to collect unique OrderId values from the list of accounting items and next fetch reservations with ReservationIds filter (to see if we have a reservation with Id same as OrderId), but if I pass non-reservation ID - I see the error…

  20. Wij hebben in het verleden met een systeem gewerkt waarbij de mogelijkheid was om gebruik te maken van een telefoonboek waar alle gegevens van het personeel in stond. Wij vonden het zeer prettig om hier mee te werken. Wellicht is het een idee om een soort rapport te maken waarin je de naam, adresgegevens en telefoonnummer in **** noteren. Dit zou je bijvoorbeeld kunnen plaatsen bij het kopje 'profielen'.
