Automatically update Accounting Category on existing Service Orders when the Rate’s category is modified
Currently, when the Accounting Category linked to a Rate is changed, this update is not applied retroactively to the existing Service Orders (reservations) created with that rate.
This means that if a rate was initially linked to the wrong Accounting Category, all existing bookings will keep the incorrect category, even after the rate setup is corrected.
Example:
If a rate was first linked to Leisure instead of Accommodation, and later the Accounting Category is fixed, the previous reservations still show Leisure and therefore report incorrect revenue data.
Request:
Please allow the system to automatically update the Accounting Category for all existing Service Orders when the linked Rate’s Accounting Category is modified.
Why this matters:
-Ensures accounting and reporting data consistency
-Avoids the need to cancel and recreate bookings to fix errors
-Reduces manual work and the risk of integration mismatches (e.g. with Optimand)
-Provides a more reliable data flow for connected systems and APIs
