  1. Right now a derived rate can only add a modifer to the parent for its base rate. It would be great if a derived rate could also have its own extra occupancy fee, modifiable from the parent's.

    For example, when deriving a breakfast included rate from a parent rate, one can not presently add a breakfast fee for any extra occupants on the derived rate which means two seperate parent rates have to be created and maintained limiting the usefullness of the derived rate concept.

  2. Guests occasionally have a reservation under one booking, followed by another reservation under a different booking number (e.g if they've decided to add another night or have been staying for work and adding another day as a personal expense). Under the current system they need to check out and get their cards recut which isn't a great customer experience, we need to manually allocate the same room for both stays, inform Housekeeping not to clear the room and if they haven't paid in advance, we need to pay extra attention to their billing as it's split over multiple bookings.

  3. Additional/customizable origin options.

    When a reservation is created we have limited options to choose as the origin of the booking. We would like to have the option to customize these options ourselves to have a better overview of where the bookings come from.

  4. Since Optional Reservations are not confirmed reservations - client feels it would be best to not attach a Confirmation reference number in the emails until the customer actively confirms the booking. All main Placeholders associated with Reservation details or Summaries include a Confirmation number - even for Optional Reservations.

    Email Templates associated with Optional Booking should only confirm a summary of the reservation details without a confirmation number. Perhaps adding a specific placeholder just for the templates triggered by Optional Reservations could be useful.

  6. Email notifications can be a lot to go through especially if you are receiving a lot of daily communications to just one main address.
    It would be helpful to have visual reservation alerts (colorful) come up on the timeline or on the reservation screen in case of failed settlements (for any reason) - especially after check-in.

  7. The dropdown product checklist in the "Items" tab of a reservation currently displays product prices based on the assumption that consumption will occur on the first day of the reservation. However, some products have variable pricing depending on the day of the week. As a result, the displayed price reflects the price applicable on the reservation's start date rather than the actual consumption date. This discrepancy may cause confusion for staff, as the price shown in the dropdown may not always be accurate.

  8. When migrating data from past provider to Mews, allow importing the original creation date of all reservations being migrated to facilitate analysis of the booking pace (comparing booking creation date and guest's arrival date)

  9. When going through cancelled / no show reservations (groups) it is time-consuming having to click on each and every one of the reservations in the group to see what date and what reason the booking was cancelled.

    In groups it would be great if you were able to organize them by date, as well as, reason (cancelled / no show).
    The best solution would have been to sort them out as we have when it comes to past and future bookings and by date but instead "cancelled" as one and "no show" as another one.

  10. Gender / Nationality / Date of birth by booking

    Could we make madatory for a guest who is booking to fill his Gender / Nationality / Date of birth as well ? Right now he only has to fill his last name, email and phone number.

    We have an all-female-dorm and some men keep booking it for some reasons. Gender with "Woman / Man / Non binary (or diverse?) at the moment of booking could really help us. As it is mandatory for us to have the nationality of the guest as well as his birth date, those could be…

  11. It would be helpful to receive email notifications if a OTA booking has been modified. We have direct integrations for Booking.com and Expedia but do not receive any sort of modification if a booking is modified.
    We have previously requested this feature via a support ticket but were told this would not be considered but I'm sure other hoteliers would find this helpful - particularly as some upgrades have not been modified via Mews.

  12. we've noticed that when creating a reservation manualy from the PMS, on the “Details” page, the confirmation mode defaults is “Do not send”. By changing the reservation status (to Requested or Optional) or even back to Confirmed, the confirmation mode automatically changes from “Do not send” to “Send”. This can be a source of error if the person making the reservation doesn't notice it. I think it would be preferable for the confirmation mode to default to “Do not send”, and for the person making the reservation to change it manually if necessary.

  13. Enable Hover Functionality for Rate Notes in Reservation Overview

    It would be extremely useful to have the ability to view rate notes in the reservation overview by hovering over the rate name—similar to the functionality that’s already available when creating a reservation. Rate notes often include essential information regarding rate inclusions, restrictions, and conditions that are vital for quick reference.

  14. Currently, Mews only sends emails to the notifiable reservation sources are "Booking Engine", "Channel Manager" and "Commander.
    It doesn't happen for reservations created via API.
    We would like to add this source and receive notifications about reservations created via API.

  15. Do not sell new booking that force to change the room number of future booking with a lock on because the guests wants to have this room number. The property should have the option to decide if the future bookings with a lock on, can limit the availability in the inventory in order to ensure that a client can have the room number he wants.

  16. We should be able to set what fields are mandatory to complete for reception before checking in a guest - email, nationality, gender eetc. This functionality is available on the kiosk so it doesn't make any sense it isn't the same across the board.

  17. Residents can book their stay with an open end date. Guests are staying for more than 1 year at the same property and instead of offering them an end date and another guest can book the same room, they would like to book it for one guest only.

  18. If the client has MMMP active, they would like to be able to look up a reservation number and find then the property, as sometimes people call not knowing which hotel they are staying but giving you only the reservation number.
