Remove FINANCIAL access from Housekeeping users
Currently a user with only "Perform Housekeeping" rights can see a lot of financial reports!
I don't imagine the cleaning staff at Mews Headquarters are allowed to see the daily revenue, so why should they (or 3rd party cleaning contractors) have access to our hotel financial data?Posting Journal: Can be seen and has financial information about the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly revenue!
Payment Report: can be seen, has financial information. It can even see the cash going into the Cashier!
Accounting Ledger: can be seen and has financial information.
Bills and Invoices: Every invoice (anonymous) and its consumptions can be seen together…

Batch update of space status
Change all room status to a status in a single action. Restrict this with a user right, as only Admins should be able to perform this action.This will help our Implementations team when setting up of the property & in case of reconstructions. It takes quite a while to change 200 rooms to 'Out of order' and place a note in it.

Notification of check out in the Mews app
Dear Mews Development Team,
Our Housekeeping team had a request/idea for the mobile application.
At the moment they have to refresh the application and look frequently whether a room has left.
Would it be possible to integrate a notification or pop up in the application that notifies them when the reception does a check out?

Assign employee to a floor
Would be much easier to assign floors to every housekeeper instead of spaces. They already work everyday by floor so would help them to keep the same organization that we have today. Also regarding the assignments would it be nice if they can see them on the Commander app. That will void printing reports everyday. The supervisor can assign a floor and the housekeeper can be able to see that on the app in order to know what need to be done during their shift.

Notify Housekeeping department of space status changes
When the reception checks-out a reservation it would be nice to notify the housekeeping department so they can inform their teams.

Bed type differentiation
Spaces can vary based on the type of beds that they are furnished with, which is often important for housekeeping to know. Adding support for different bed types and arrangements could help clarify assignments for your housekeeping staff and minimize confusion for guests.

You can set up the bed type definition on the space category level in the Mews web application. Open settings > services > space categories > select Space classification and add you preferred bed definition for example "Standard twin".

'last let' Out of Service/Out of Order rooms also being able to be dirty/clean/inspected
Currently rooms have to be either:
1) Dirty
2) Clean
3) Inspected
4) Out of Service
5) Out of OrderHowever, some rooms may be Out of Service for a 'last let' reason and therefore may be Inspected and ready to go (but the team want to be aware that these rooms should only be used last). I think Out of Service and Out of Order should be separate room statuses and can be stackable with the clean state of the room.

Make Commander App more user friendly for housekeepers by making the markings BUTTONS
Right now, marking a room requires the use of a drop down menu. This menu is small, and not colour coded.
Instead, putting 4 buttons with colour and icons will help housekeepers use this app.
We have housekeepers with limited ability to read, and some who are not adept to technology. This would help both tremendously.

Swiping left will also revel each state that can be identified by different coloured buttons.

Housekeeping requests
Hi I believe a report that shows all traces by room number would be very helpful for our daily operations. We have plenty of HSKneeds for individual rooms and we need a report that has all the information by room number. E.g. room 205 is allergic to feather, room 206 wants romantic turndown service and room 320 wants service everyday at noon.
A report that contains guests name, arrival/departure dates and all necessary information described above would help a lot. It would nice to be able to print it for a range of rooms too so that you can give…

Turndown service support
Providing a great experience often comes down to the very last detail, which is why little things, such as turndown service, can make a big difference in a guest's stay. As an additional space status, including turndown as part of your operations, could help add that special touch to guests' rooms during their stay.

Housekeeping Room Credits for Easy Room Assignment
It would be good if we could assign room credits for rooms to help the assignment process. Example, smaller rooms would get .75, standard rooms 1.0 and suites 1.5. Thereby, if each housekeeper could clean 12 credits daily, the system could calculate each room by value and assign accordingly. Additionally, stayovers would receive .25 credit against assignment as they take only 20 minutes to touchup versus a full clean would receive +.25 as they take longer to clean as determined by the property. Using this method would improve productivity and room assignment.

Stay products in Commander App
As housekeeping complete their daily cleaning schedule, they are often responsible for restocking minibar products or other room amenities. Therefore, adding stay product details within the Commander application could provide stocking information and reporting capabilities so that each room is prepared exactly right for the next arriving guest.
