Assign spaces to employees - filter for arrivals/stay over/departure
In the "Assign spaces to employees" window it is possible to set filters for space status like dirty, clean etc. It would be great if we can also filter arrivals, stay over and departures rooms on a specific day!

Ability to flag that a guest has arrived when room is not ready yet
If a guest arrives but their room is not ready, could we possibly have a flag or change of colour to show that they're waiting for their room. This way when the room is ready we can let the guest know asap.

Drag and Drop Room Assignment by Housekeeper similar to Timeline
To improve the speed of room assignment by housekeeper, it would be good to have the ability to drag and drop specific rooms under each housekeeper on a daily basis similar to what we do with Timeline. You could quickly see which rooms are unassigned and drag the room under each housekeeper to complete their board for the day. If room credits are used, each room that is dragged under a housekeeper deducts from the total credits assigned for the day.

Housekeeping Room Credits for Easy Room Assignment
It would be good if we could assign room credits for rooms to help the assignment process. Example, smaller rooms would get .75, standard rooms 1.0 and suites 1.5. Thereby, if each housekeeper could clean 12 credits daily, the system could calculate each room by value and assign accordingly. Additionally, stayovers would receive .25 credit against assignment as they take only 20 minutes to touchup versus a full clean would receive +.25 as they take longer to clean as determined by the property. Using this method would improve productivity and room assignment.

Ability to Assign Filtered Spaces to Housekeeper that has not been assigned - Assign from Space Status Screen - Reset Room Assignee each day
Currently in Mews, if you assign filtered spaces in the room assignment screen example Dirty, first floor, then select the housekeeper and select all rooms, the complete list of rooms of the first floor appears. You select the rooms you with to assign to this housekeeper, click Assign. Then you want to assign the next Housekeeper to the remaining rooms and follow the same process. However, when you choose spaces, the complete list of spaces (example Dirty, first floor) reappears and you have to remember which rooms you have already assigned or you may accidentally override the assignments already given.…

Housekeeping Reservations Status Arrived = Occupied
In the Housekeeping App when a reservation has Arrived, the space turns to Dirty / Arrived and the time of arrival. We currently have reservations "Arrived" or "Arriving", but not an "Occupied" state for Housekeeping. This can be confusing for some housekeepers using the housekeeping app as the Arrived and Arriving look very similar. For most properties, if you have arrived, you are now "occupying" the space and therefore the space is now Dirty / Occupied. Ability to put rooms out of order from Mews Housekeeping App
Currently, you are not able to put the Space out of order form the Mews Housekeeping App. You are able to change the status from Dirty to Clean to Inspected to Out of Service but not Out of Order. We would like the ability to put rooms Out of Order with a reason from the Housekeeping App.

Simplify the Housekeeping Room Assignment Process
It would be helpful to assign Housekeeping from a single space status screen versus room assignment screen. The drop down could show all available housekeeping and you could assign one or two directly onto this screen. Today, you have to use the assignment tool with has filters and is a bit awkward as you need to filter than assign a housekeeper then rooms. When you select and second housekeeper the same rooms show up as the first and you have to remember you have assigned them. Change room status Stayover (clean) automatically to dirty overnight
Housekeepers change dirty stayover rooms to clean after a stayovercleaning. The room status does not change automatically overnight. As the guest is the day after also a stay over and needs cleaning aswell.

The housekeeping system in Mews is currently based off cleaned rooms being inspected by a supervisor including for overnight stays. When rooms are inspected, they are then turned dirty overnight.
Would you be able to share some examples of why rooms would not be inspected by a supervisor or manager for overnight stays?

Direct link/download the api for the Mews App
Have a link to directly downlad the api for the Mews Application for android and apple phones. As we have company pads and phones and do not want to use our private gmail accounts to access google appsstore.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We have reviewed your request and searched for options that can solve it.
In the Apple AppStore, it is only possible to download an application via the store. As commercial developers, we are not permitted by Apple to provide an alternative means of providing access to applications listed in the AppStore.
I the case of Android, it would be possible to provide an .apk file that can be saved locally on a device. However, the biggest limitation here is that for applications installed using this method, we unable to automatically update the application. This would lead to security risks for the file, as well as the risk that a user will lose access once the older version of the application has been deprecated.
For the reasons listed above we are unable to provide an alternate means of accessing the app…

Moving a reservation and keeping the new rooms status
When you move a reserveration from one room to another, both rooms become dirty. Is it possible to add an option in stay for the new room (which is inspected)
to stay inspected.That the room that the guest has moved to stays inspected. The prior rooms can stay dirty just the new room keeps it status. As after midnight inspected rooms become clean then dirty after housekeeping intervall. This way we can keep track of linen change and don't have to manually change it after every move.
Just have as an option if other hotels don't use the system…

Bed Configuration Status
Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

These new colors are so stupid. How can you change the colors to mean completely different things 2 + years in to a system? Please change it back.

We at Mews follow strict design guidelines and principles with regards to the colours we use in the system. As our brand evolves and new designs standards emerge we constantly review our design choices and will keep usability and accessibility very close in our decision making process.

Tasks in Commander Housekeeping app ( Mobile )
Tasks in the Commander Housekeeping app do not show which room or reservation number they relate to. Display room or reservation number to tasks in the Mobile version of the Commander Housekeeping app

You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.
Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

Housekeeping assignment - Unassign an employee
Dear colleagues,
At this moment we can assign employees to the room but we can not cancel, it is only possible to override.
It generous few problems:
- in the next day room is still assigned to the same employee, a filter of the unassigned room is useless
- everyday assignments must be made very carefully, checking when the room has been assigned, yesterday or today

Update notes in the Mews housekeeping app without changing the status of a room
Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.
P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".
At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.
