Split future reservations
Guests may know in advance that they have companions coming to stay for only part of their reservation. Therefore, properties may want to apply these changes as soon as possible, rather than waiting until after check-in. This additional feature could allow users to split future bookings as necessary.

It is necessary to be able to process a booking, where the guest stays for example the first night in on room type, and the second night changes to a different room type for the rest of the stay.
I have worked at a small boutique hotel, and in high seasson, it was totally normal to offer a guest a stay with scheduled room change. Or a guest wants to stay in the Suite which is occupied the first night by another guest, so they accept another room category for the first night.
To sum up, we need to be able to assign spaces per dates in the same reservation (not being forced to create different reservations)
Example: Check in 01.01.2021 - check out 05.01.2021
Room #20 from 01.01.2021 until 02.01.2021
Room #56 from 02.01.2021 until 05.01.2021With rates would not be a problem, as mews allows us to introduce different rates per day

Yes, or for families where some family members arrive later. So we could already assign a different amount of people and the according names to the reservation (first 3 days 1 person, rest of the stay 4 persons).

THIS WOULD BE AMAZING! As a smaller hostel we regularly have to split reservations to make the most of our availability, it is VERY time consuming having to shorten and create new bookings before arrival.

This would be extremely useful, currently having to shorten stays and make a new reservation to split the future bookings is very time-consuming.

It would be very helpful and time saving for when we need to split the bookings of guests, before their check in date, who need to change rooms because of over bookings or groups blocking whole dorms.

This would be very useful for in Hostels where you have groups in dorm rooms and need to allocate FIT guests around these reservations, often months in advance, by splitting the reservations across different rooms.

Please Please! This is very important feature! I am writting from hostel and make a tetris between the guests in Shared rooms to split their booking and allocate them in different room is sometimes necessary. We need to do this before their arrival. Actualy in the moment when we receive their booking!
As this feature is missing, we have to do a split manualy (shorten stay of the original booking) and make manualy new booking for the rest of the days. In that moment in high season this put us in risk of Overbooking meanwhile you try to deal with it.
Please Please, really, we need this feature SPLIT available at the moment we receive the booking.
