  2. When requesting Resources with "ResourceCategoryImageAssignments" extent enabled, images are returned with order based on the created/updated time (oldest first, newest last).

    That means it ignores the image order set in Mews Operations "Space Categories" UI.

    JSON should return the Image Assignments based on this order OR should return a property named "order" with order integer as value.

  5. Currently, an integration partner that uses group block data (such as Revenue Management Systems, Event Management Systems, Central Reservation Systems, etc.) needs to poll "availabilityBlocks/getAll" at a scheduled interval and are not able to sync availability blocks in real time.
    In order such integration partners to follow the best practices (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/best-practices), they need the general webhooks expanded with new availability block-based events notifying the partners when:
    - an availability block has been created
    - an availability block has been updated
    - an availability block has been deleted
    - an availability block's service availability has changed

  6. Hi, we are having some problems generating a Dotnet (6) client from the Connector API specification in Visual Studio 17.4.0 on Windows 10.

    The root cause seem to be that languages like C# (.NET), Java, and go, do not support "discriminated unions".

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a new Dotnet (6) project in Visual Studio
    2. Open “Connected Services”
    3. Add the Connector Open API specification
    4. Build the project

  8. For the analysis and planning, it is important to know which travel purpose the block can be arranged. Is it a leisure group or a business group? For this it would be important to arrange the block to a segment. This segment must be able to be transferred to e.g. Fairmas.

  9. Currently, block reservations are not transferred to other systems. Systems such as Fairmas or RMS cannot see the blocks until a list of names is entered and the actual reservation number for each single reservation is generated by MEWS. This distorts P/U and open pricing. The problem could be solved by also giving a block a reservation number.

    It would be great if Mews provide createdby/updatedby or some boolean identifiers to identify the source of action.

    Usecase : Customer creation/update : External API consumers sends customer (loyalty members) profile updates to mews via API calls, Mews in turn sends Webhook events whenever customer updates happens via API calls or Manual updates. As we seek to maintain the synchronisation of customer profiles in both Mews and CRM system, the update events goes to infinite loop if we don't stop using an identifier. for example, Customer profile is updated in CRM then CRM triggers an updated event, this results…

  11. Atm it's not possible to move any position with a value of 0 to an open bill. Since we customize our bills in another way as Mews usually does, we need to move all reservation items to an open bill. This way we can pay all reservation items, close the bill, checkout the reservation and receive a pdf in the end.

    Some of our hotels place 0 value positions on their reservations as reminders. Atm it's not possible to checkout those reservations, since not all reservation items get on the same bill and therefore we cannot "pay" all reservation items.

  13. A meeting room can only be booked once during a day period. This is a problem since meeting rooms e.g. can be booked from 09:00 till 12:00 and again from 13:00 till 17:00. This basic case is not possible.

    Is there any change planned which would allow us to book rooms based on the actual reservation time and not only once per period?

  14. we are retrieving reservation data and are looking for the attached products.
    Currently, we use /reservations/getAll and extend the items:true. Thin gets us Items with SubType (ProductOrder/SpaceOrder) or Type (ProductRevenue/ServiceRevenue). We are only interested in the Product-reated items.
    to save resources we would appreciate either an extra endpoint /items/getAll (equivalent to /accountingItems/getAll ) with the possibility of filtering those Items after SubType (ProductOrder/SpaceOrder) or Type (ProductRevenue/ServiceRevenue) and reservationIDs or even better a filtering for Type/Subtype in the reservations/getAll endpoint.

  15. When an availability block is created in Mews, a new rate is created, dedicated to this block. The new rate is based on an original rate, taken from the list of rates already existing in Mews. Let's say a hotel has a company profile "Company X" which books a conference. The user selects rate = "Company X corporate rate" and Mews creates a copy of this rate and attaches it to the block. When fetching the block via the API, the block references this copy as its rate ID.

  16. When connecting MEWS with a PBX, the phone in the physical room is defined as a Space, or resource, in MEWS.

    The name of the Space is the actual phone extension number, often the same as the room number.

    As only one resource can be associated with a Reservation, we run into a problem when a room/suite is equipped with more than one phone, not uncommon in "high class" hotels. Each of these phones (=MEWS resources) needs somehow to be associated with the same Reservation.

  17. If you receive accounting items via reservations/getall with extent of items, you will receive a "name" field. This "name" field is what the customer sees:
    Things like: Tourism Fee (Adults), Night 22-12-2022.
    But if you query accountingitems/getAll for a specific reservation, you do not get this "name" field. You only receive a revenue type with a possible discriminator.

    Please add the "name" field too...

  18. A customer currently has the parameter which is not editable via api request, since it's supposed to be the website language of the guest within the Mews UI.

  19. In the information that Mews sends, the booking reference of the BtoB client should be added.

    Indeed, when transmitting an invoice to the BtoB client in order to post the invoice, the BtoB client needs its booking reference. Without this information there is no way for them to post the invoice. This is an obligation for most of the BtoB clients such as HotelBeds, Bookings, Webbeds...

    Nowadays the booking reference information is only included into the API when the invoice is linked to a reservation.

    Nevertheless, Mews allows to create bills to correct invoices. In those cases, no booking reference…

  20. Get Customers response requested by guest room key NFC UID

    As POS Operator I want to use a guest room key UID (16 digit Hex code e.g., 803687a2415404) to search for the guest on the POS so that do not have to ask for the guests room number and can use the same method to pay and justify a room posting.

    Given I greet a guest at the Hotel Restaurant when tap the guest room key on my POS mobile device (NFC reader) then the Interface response with customers details base on the guest room key UID.
