  1. As for hostel, it would be great to have each bed counted as 1 space, so that total space amount reflects the exact amount of beds.
    We have an option to book the whole room, but also single beds in dormitory.
    Currently, every room and every bed counts as 1 space.
    It is confusing as for now 8-beds dormitory is counted as 9 spaces (8 beds as 8 spaces + the whole room as a separate space)!

    Furthermore, changing the dorm status (dirty->clean->inspected) does not affect the status of beds, we have change the status of every single bed one…

  3. It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
    If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

  4. Mews has a legionella prevention function. It automatically puts vacant rooms into dirty status after 7 days of being vacant. However, our Housekeeping and Maintenance system have a likewise function, which is way more operatable. Because I can adjust settings: I can choose the amount of days, type of notifications and to whom, etc. And, it belongs to those departments that do the legionella prevention. Mews just puts the rooms on dirty status and I have to go all the way into the history log of each individual dirty room to find out why it was put dirty; there's no…

  5. make it easy for house keeper by just giving data the check out or the stay which makes them feel more comfortable and the paper looks nice and clean as housekeepers do not need the name of the guest.
    with just room number stayover or checck out details and thats it

  9. Filter by Segment for Reservations Overview Report:

    This will allow us to easily exclude "long stays" from arrivals, departures, stayovers...

    It will make housekeeping job easier, and will help to get a more accurate weekly forecast

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are very happy to inform you that we now show the room number, and reservation details for all tasks linked to reservations in the Mews mobile app.

    You can test this functionality by linking a task to a reservation in Mews web > open the mobile app > in the tasks tab you will see the link icon > select the link icon to view reservation details including the room number.

    It is also possible to select the room number to be directed to the linked room in the Mews mobile app.

  12. When receiving a message in commander app option should be available to display message as a translation ... eg message sent in english might display an option to show as a translation to a preselected language in the settings. Click on a "translate from english to X language" button and that will display as X language using google translate.

  13. Hello, I'd like to share an idea regarding the Housekeeping.The hotel bought mobile phones for every chambermaid and the manager in order to work with the Mews app and the features it offers. However, we have noticed, that if our chambermaids do the cleaning (they change the status from DIR-->CLN) and the manager inspects it and is satisfied ( change from CLN -->INS ) marks it as inspected and it stays like that until further change.

    The issue emerges when we're talking about a room, where does the guests stay, 'cause the app says "inspected" even the other day, when…

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released a setting called "Check-in makes space dirty". With this option selected an inspected room will be marked as dirty as soon as a guest checks in. If a guest is staying overnight the space will automatically be marked as dirty at midnight.

  14. The housekeeping should be able to also mark a room as do not disturb. In stead of only: clean, inspected etc.

    This way the reception can clearly see if there are any rooms with only new towls. etc.

  15. Even if there is only a stayover in one bed of a dorm, the whole room should be marked as dirty the next morning, so that HK know they have to check it. So you don't risk to book guests into a dirty room

  18. Right now, marking a room requires the use of a drop down menu. This menu is small, and not colour coded.

    Instead, putting 4 buttons with colour and icons will help housekeepers use this app.

    We have housekeepers with limited ability to read, and some who are not adept to technology. This would help both tremendously.

    Swiping left will also revel each state that can be identified by different coloured buttons.
