  1. It would be nice to have an other option for the room status :

    Currently rooms have to be either:

    1) Dirty
    2) Clean
    3) Inspected
    4) Out of Service

    And I would add :

    5) On queue / Priority

    Like that when the guests arrive early, the housekeeping know the information and will make this room in priority. In my hotel (5*) it's important for us. I'm sure it is in other hotels as well.

  2. The automatic allocation should take the room status into consideration. Ex. we would like that it prioritize to allocate inspected rooms over dirty rooms.

  3. Currently rooms have to be either:

    1) Dirty
    2) Clean
    3) Inspected
    4) Out of Service
    5) Out of Order

    However, some rooms may be Out of Service for a 'last let' reason and therefore may be Inspected and ready to go (but the team want to be aware that these rooms should only be used last). I think Out of Service and Out of Order should be separate room statuses and can be stackable with the clean state of the room.

  4. Would it be possible to change the offset for the Legionella status from 7 to 5 days?

    Bureau de Wit writes that a report must be made within 5 or 6 days so that flushing can be carried out early and at the latest within 7 days.

    This is required by law in accordance with - NEN 1006+A1:2018. This is the same for every hotel in the Netherlands. So automatically a notification after 5 or 6 days. Then you still have time to rinse in time.

  5. The functionality is already in Mews: it is used by the Hotels for Trees integration. In the Mews app housekeeping can click a button to tell the reception that the room has not been cleaned because the customer asked not to clean the room. The button is an icon of a doorhanger on it. When they click it the room status of this room has the same doorhanger icon next to it. We are using this integration in one of our hotels.   7. Dear Madam, dear Sir,
    We are currentely unable to have a clear daily housekeeping report.
    We need the following informations to be displayed in addition to the current informations.
    State of the rooms : Free and clean / Departure / Stayover.
    Today, we are unable to have these informations in our report, we have to check everyy room one by one to define the correct state, which can take us lot of time and effort.
    Looking forward for your answer.

  9. When creating the reservation report each day, there are always the "internal use" rooms to be put on by hand - and therefore, of course could be forgotten....

    It would be helpful, if these rooms also would be on this report automatically - like they also show up on the list "guests in house" by downloading to excel.

    ...and why they are not shown on the dashboard as arrivals or departures?

  11. Nice improvement, for us its not fully what we need yet.   12. Change the name of out of service, out of service means can't be used in real terms but in mews means still for sale. Doesn't make any sense and too similar to out of order, both mean the same thing. Out of service should say minimal maintenance

  14. Currently a user with only "Perform Housekeeping" rights can see a lot of financial reports!
    I don't imagine the cleaning staff at Mews Headquarters are allowed to see the daily revenue, so why should they (or 3rd party cleaning contractors) have access to our hotel financial data?

    • Posting Journal: Can be seen and has financial information about the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly revenue!

    • Payment Report: can be seen, has financial information. It can even see the cash going into the Cashier!

    • Accounting Ledger: can be seen and has financial information.

    • Bills and Invoices: Every invoice (anonymous) and its consumptions can be seen together…

    A good old rooming list with the exact amount of departures and arrivals. nifty to see how many people are leaving a room/ beds in a dormitory. and also how many will be arriving on the day.

  16. Within some states in the US, there is a maximum number of square feet (or metre) that an individual can clean during their shift. To help ensure that this limit is not being exceeded, it would help to have the measurements of the room listed within the Housekeeping part of Mews.

  17. Housekeeping needs the information whether a child belongs to one or the other child category - in our hotel baby, kid or teen - housekeeping prepares a crib for a baby, a small bed for a child and a special place for teens - so they cannot work with the actual submitted informations.
    Please submit the child categories to the housekeeping reports.

  18. Nous avons inclus nos lits supplémentaires dans le système mais pourquoi n'est il pas possible de voir leur disponibilité jour par jour? Nous avons dû créer un Excel pour faire cela et être sûr de ne pas être en surbooking de lit sup. Merci


    We have included our extra beds in the system but why is it not possible to see their availability day by day? We had to create an Excel to do this and be sure not to be overbooked. Thanks

  19. I would be helpful, if the housekeeping could see stay products which could for example be a fruit basket or pralines in the room.
    We have some rates for Specials that require a certain preparation from the housekeeping. Therefore it would be helpful, if the houseekeeping team could see the products and rates in their app.

  20. housekeeping staff's ability to set rooms in inspected.
    to be able to block Housekeeping staff to put room in inspected.
    HSK cleaners should only be able to put in dirty and Clean.
