Rate Mixing
The system should be able to propose the cheapest rate possible to our guests (like booking.com does). Mixing the rates to offer the best deal is a guarantee to compete better against booking.com. Not mixing the rates allows booking.com to steal bookings from us. Exemple: you activate a Last Minute deal on the next 48h. A guest want to arrive today and stay for 3 days. On booking.com, he will see a rate mixed from the last minute rate (for the 2 first nights) and from another rate for the 3d night. On our booking engine, you will see either…

Have an allotment as part of the block feature recently released
MEWS currently does not support allotment.
For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. The alternative is to enter bookings as optional with release dates…190 votesHey Mewsers,

Add extra line at the top in timeline to implement large events in City or warnings or international holidays.
We are a Boutique hotel with 40 rooms without meeting rooms. Located In between centre of Amsterdam and a large (RAI) conference Centre. In case of large conferences or Events in the city we can sell at higher rate than leisure. Because these city wide conference are known for years ahead we like to have a space on top of timeline to place the name of the event with warning like "only sell high' or 'do not offer to groups' .

Turn on/off restrictions
It would be easier for us to turn on and off a restriction rather than delete and create a new one.

Selling limits based on different variables
Requesting the ability to enter selling limits based on variables defined by the hotel.

Rate buckets & restriction based on occupancy
At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.
Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

Restrict dates for products
Have the option to restrict product to specific dates.
For example: if we have New Years Eve Gala Dinner created as a product, would be very helpful to be able to restrict this product to only guests staying during the night of the 31st of December, and not to any booking date.97 votes -
Add notes to calendar in Rate Management
It could be awesome to be able to add different colours or notes to some dates in the Rate Management calendar so we can mark some special dates as holly weeks, special events, etc to pay attention to the rates on those days

Edit rate restrictions
Rate restrictions are currently uneditable in Mews, meaning that even for a minor change, you must delete the old one and create an entirely new restriction.

Occupancy-based pricing
Spaces are often priced by category, however additional pricing schemes could become available with the possibility of pricing spaces according to the number of guests accommodated. With the availability of occupancy-based pricing options, properties would have the possibility to set rate price based on the number of people staying in the space rather than applying an empty bed adjustment. This would enable much more pricing flexibility for revenue managers, which could additionally provide even more attractive prices for guests.
For example: A room could be priced at 100 Euros for 1 person, but the same room could be priced at…

Naming stay restrictions
Right now, going through each stay restrictions requires your read each specific variable. However, just each restriction should be able to be named so that we can quickly figure out what each one does by title instead of reading through each variable.

Be able to tick off multiple rates when applying restrictions so you don't have to create multiple restrictions for different rates.
At the time, I can only create a restriction for one rate or rate group at a time. I would have to create multiple restrictions to cove two rate codes. For example, I would like to create a 2-night minimum for my Airbnb rate (Travel Agent Group) & all my rates that flow off the best flex rate. So I have to create 2 different restrictions and keep up with changing both when I make changes.
