  2. Where one has rates setup and sold inclusive of the the package e.g. Breakfast, @ R1500.00 single or double inclusive of breakfast. In MEWS rate setup it is required to set a negative occupant adjustment for the value of the breakfast in order to correctly quote the rate for the single room booking @ R1500.00

Where you have derived rates, one normally sets the rate up against the base rate with its relative % adjustment. e.g. -10%, however as the base rate has the negative occupant adjustment for the breakfast to too is discounted on the single rate published. Therefore…

  3. When we create a new rate in the Channel Manager, it would be best practice if we could only send that rate to the channel manager and not all the rates that we have in the channel manager as how is today. Of cause, we need to have a "full property push" available, but the option to push just the newly created rate would be the best in a day-to-day basis. Then the data that we send out is going to be much less.

  5. Other PMS systems I have used have "absorbed" products in the Rate.

For example you have a rate of £150 , part of this is £10 breakfast.
Currently in Mews if you change the price of breakfast , you then need to change all your rates separately which is time consuming.
It also means that if you have 342 rate, the 33% deduction only comes from the accommodation value and does not take into consideration the products.
If you change the price of a product it would be great if the value of the accommodation would also change automatically .

  6. Same idea here as what we can do with static rates.

I.e. If we have a company rate that has 10 % off BAR. For next year they contract 15%.

We have to wait until the date that the new contract starts and change the "Relative Adjustment" instead of being proactive and set the price beforehand with an override.

This makes it bad for the customer as well cause they might want to book in advance but still get the old contract rate even tho they have a new rate coming up in just a couple of days.

  7. At the time, I can only create a restriction for one rate or rate group at a time. I would have to create multiple restrictions to cove two rate codes. For example, I would like to create a 2-night minimum for my Airbnb rate (Travel Agent Group) & all my rates that flow off the best flex rate. So I have to create 2 different restrictions and keep up with changing both when I make changes.

  8. When you have made an adjustment to a rate you have to go through the whole year to see that adjustment.

I.e. I have a base rate on 800 SEK. I have an adjustment that apply every sat - sun. That lower the price to 650 SEK. It's easy to do and hard to manage.

What if I'm not happy with the lenght of it or want to do adjustments to that adjustment. There is no overlook on what adjustments are applied. The only thing I can do is change the date and the start scrolling. How far did someone…

  9. it is not always easy to find access to input calendar events. is there a way you are able to add it to the drop down menu for either rates or reservations, or even timeline.
the only way i find it now is through burger menu, settings, services and then click back at the top left corner on the name of the property. seems a bit weird.

plus it would be great if their could be a note field so that reservations know what rate, minimum stay, etc should be offered on those days

  10. The term Last Room Value (LRV), refers to the maximum revenue a hotel can expect to make from the last room it has available for sale. It is used to avoid selling the last room below a certain rate – as when market demand is high the last room may be sold at a higher rate then normal

  11. Vouchers feature factually being able to be limited to only be used certain nights stayed (discounted events/corporates/groups). Vouchers are currently merely limited to be bought certain days. With this new feature we would avoid risk of subsequent guest Voucher misuse for other nights than the event/campaign period and/or a maze of Restrictions.

  12. Availability Blocks no longer copy rates from the BAR, even if setup to do so. Instead these load Base Rate with weights.

This old school way of Groups pricing is no longer viable for properties with advanced RMS where each room is being priced fully dynamically and independently.

Please bring back that functionality to this absolutely great feature. Since the availability blocks were introduced, our Groups managers cut hours spent on having to manually process each quotation. But without this pricing in there, the tool became useless, unfortunately.

    Thank you.

Hello from the Mews product team,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with. We are currently resolving this request and would like to offer you the opportunity to test the updates in your demo, or live environment.

    The updates are as follows:

When a block is created, we now copy the rate price per space category, per day as well as any price overrides and pricing adjustments. This logic results in less manual price updates when creating availability blocks. You can find a visual overview for this functionality in the recording below:

If you would be interested in testing this feature, please let me know by responding to this email.

    Kind regards,

  13. if you want to extent a made booking, the price will automaticaly change. Also if you have fixed rates for a customer group, it changes to the daily rate, which is extremely wrong and not helpful.

  14. By now, Mews restrictions do not allow to set a specific day of the week you want to exclude. If you wish to make a % discount on Sunday night for example, you will have to close all other days on your restriction but travelers will not be able to book several nights including Sunday night. Very bad if you are looking to maximize length of stay and want to compensate those staying on Sunday.
Mews team, please keep improving restrictions to allow us to combine various setups, it is so important! Thanks

  18. At the moment, if you set up a rate automation for OTA rates, the same trigger will be used for both virtual and physical credit cards. Ideally, there would be extra conditional fields in an "if this, then that" format. For example:

If Card type = Physical, then charge on confirmation
If card type = virtual, then charge on start day

This conditionality format would also allow for less rate groups, and increased flexibility if other conditions are also created. It could be implemented with an advanced settings button to keep the current layout as simple as possible.
