  3. Would it be useful if it was possible to generate a direct booking url for each rate you create.

    This will enable you to link your promotions directly to the Booking Engine.

    It will also allow you to provide your corporate clients with a link directly to their rate, as a supplement to the rate access voucher

  4. Would it be interesting if it was possible to discount of a rate depending on length of stay ?
    So for example:-
    - Stay 2 or more nights and save 10 %
    - Stay 3 or more nights and save 20 %
    - Stay 5 or more nights and save 25 %
    - Stay 7 or more nights and save 30 %

    This set-up will allow properties to create promotions that are a bit more dynamic

  5. Allow in restrictions the option to apply to same day bookings only. Right now you can only choose a 1 day restriction instead of same day.

  6. Segments are attached to rate codes in the settings of Mews. The segment attached to a rate code should always be attached to reservations with that rate code. Currently when users change the rate code of a reservation it retains the original segment. Additionally, users should not be able to change a segment on a reservation as this should be locked to the rate code.

  7. The term Rate Hurdle also known as Lose-It Rate refers to a type of rate that sets a threshold that must be crossed by the channel manager to reserve a room. It generally frames the case at which a hotel is better off leaving the room vacant than to sell it. Hotels commonly do this in peak times in advance of reservations. The Hurdle Rate helps informing that rooms should be sold to whom, when and at what price to achieve maximum profitability for a hotel.

  8. Currently having a MLOS exception and maximum advance exception for close to stay restriction does not work.

    An example would be having a close to stay restriction for the Saturdays, except if they book 2 nights, OR if they book within 7 days before arrival (maximum advance).

    So what I want is a MLOS2 restriction for the Saturdays, but when it is 7 days before arrival, no restriction at all.

    It is probably a setup with an AND/OR rule.

  9. we seem to have an issue suddenly when creating a booking where the voucher rates are not displayed when attaching a company. this company has not got a voucher attached and if we leave the company blank, the correct voucher rates will display and are bookable.
    this never happened before, so it looks like something has gone wrong in the last couple of hours.

  10. when creating a rate (or amending it), it would be handy if you had the opportunity to see what voucher(s) the rate is linked to and more importantly that you are able to amend it there and then.
    now you need to remember the long name (we have a lot of the same names "corporate rate") and hoping you pick the correct one! not very efficient use of our time.

  11. Possibility to add a product automatically only for the second person occupying the room (at the moment the Product Rule affect either all people in the reservation or all nights in the reservation)

A tick box on space types when setting los restrictions, at the minute you have to do every date individually, along with every space, so if you have 17 space types, and want a los on Saturday nights, you have to set the restriction 17 times for 1 day, 884 restrictions just for Saturdays, would be much easier if you could select the space via a tick box, at the minute if you do a generic restriction, you cant undo just one space.
    This could also be applied to rate codes.

  14. When adding a product, it is automatically added to all booking engines. However, we offer different products in different booking engines (for example for certain events or retreats). Please enable to add or delete products to certain booking engines or to restrict products from other booking engines or rates.

  15. When someone extends their reservation for multiple days you currently have to add the rates individually.
    Ex. If someone has a reservation for Jan 1-30 but they want to change their departure to March 31 and their rate is 99.00 you have to manually enter 99.00 60 additional times in the pricing section. Can we get a feature that you can add 99.00 to all extra nights?

  17. Where one has rates setup and sold inclusive of the the package e.g. Breakfast, @ R1500.00 single or double inclusive of breakfast. In MEWS rate setup it is required to set a negative occupant adjustment for the value of the breakfast in order to correctly quote the rate for the single room booking @ R1500.00

    Where you have derived rates, one normally sets the rate up against the base rate with its relative % adjustment. e.g. -10%, however as the base rate has the negative occupant adjustment for the breakfast to too is discounted on the single rate published. Therefore…

  18. When we create a new rate in the Channel Manager, it would be best practice if we could only send that rate to the channel manager and not all the rates that we have in the channel manager as how is today. Of cause, we need to have a "full property push" available, but the option to push just the newly created rate would be the best in a day-to-day basis. Then the data that we send out is going to be much less.

  20. Other PMS systems I have used have "absorbed" products in the Rate.

    For example you have a rate of £150 , part of this is £10 breakfast.
    Currently in Mews if you change the price of breakfast , you then need to change all your rates separately which is time consuming.
    It also means that if you have 342 rate, the 33% deduction only comes from the accommodation value and does not take into consideration the products.
    If you change the price of a product it would be great if the value of the accommodation would also change automatically .
