Custom agreement with property rules
Our property deals with people who smoke inside the hotel rooms. It doesn't matter that they don't smell cigarettes inside of the room, nor that there is no ashtray.
We used to require agreement with non-smoking policy on registration cards, however when the guest does check-in via Operator, it is not possible.
We wish to have a special screen, where the guest has to agree that there is a penalty in case of smoking inside of the room.

Kiosk generic welcome message not suitable for gendered languages
As french grammar is very particular and the actual generic welcome message "bienvenue à/au" does not look appropriate, it would be perfect if the property could write the full welcome message.
20 votesHello from the Mews product team.
We are pleased to let you know that we have made changes to address the feedback shared where the Kiosk welcome message did not appropriately handle masculine and feminine hotel names in some languages.
Thank you again for sharing this feedback!

Security for key creation
At the moment guests have the possibility to create a new key via the Operator. However, it would be welcomed to add extra security to this process and ask the guest e.g. to confirm his/her identity via passport/ID scanner or to confirm one of the filled out profile details just like it would happen at a manned reception desk prior to creating a new/additional key.
7 votesThank you for the suggestion. The Kiosk now requires a guest to enter their last name and confirmation number if they are re-creating keys for an already checked in reservation.

Prevent that specific guests with unbalanced bills are not able to check in at Operator kiosks
For example the guest has an open bill from a previous stay and could not be charged via merchant, so we want to make sure that this specific guest won't be able to do the check in via Operator and will be forced to check in at the reception.
7 votesHello from the Mews product team. We would like to let you know that it is not possible for a guest to check-in through Kiosk if they have an unbalanced bill from a prior stay. If you are experiencing this at your property then please reach out to support to help us resolve the issue. -
Add a field "Document Issued By" in Operator
As the italian police requires the "Document issued by" <Country> it would be great to add this field, as mandatory, in the Operator (Kiosk)

Hello,
thank all of you for picking up this topic – this feature has been released two weeks ago.
You can find this option in Settings > Stay > Operator configurations and “Options” section.
If you remove “Balance check enabled” tag, save and reboot tablet, all guests will be able to do checkin even with unpaid booking. And it doesn’t matter if credit card is attached to profile or not.
We are looking forward see your feedback on this and see, how we can improve this next time.
Do you miss something? Submit new ideas or reach your AM to share your feedback.

Mews Operator: All LEs
As guest fill in their registration card details using Mews Operator, they sometimes have fields listed that may not be legally required. So in order to simplify this process for as many guests as possible, registration card requirements could be based on each property's legal environment, which eliminates all unnecessary information so that guests can complete check-in and relax.

Install Mews Operator without keycutters
Many properties have chosen not to implement key encoders as part of their operations. However, as Mews Operator was created with the intention of complete self-service, key encoder details were required as part of the configuration. Now, Mews Operator no longer requires this as part of setup, meaning that any property can now implement Operator kiosks, with or without key encoders.
