  1. In the US, we should not use the "Deposit" feature as it is consider revenue. Therefore, the practice should be a "Prepayment" which is not a term normally used in the US. Therefore, it would be good to have an option to remove the "Deposit" feature for US properties. This causes issues for US properties accounting teams.

  2. Having an inbox in Mews where all messages from different OTAs come would be absolutely fantastic.

    All messages would come directly to the PMS and properties wouldn't have to go to all OTAs separately.

  3. either in the demo or real version, it is very difficult to gain insight on the guest experience of the communications. for example:
    * where do guest click to add their credit card details or how to disable the cc details.
    * what does the confirmation look like or get a sample of the pre-arrival communication.
    * what does it look like when you email the guest a copy of their bill.
    * what does a guest profile look like and is the guest able to see just the bookings at your property or all the mews connected properties
    *…

  4. As we are a couple properties using MEWS, it would be amazing to move postings from one to the other property in the same hotel-chain.

    So if a guest has consumed lunch in partner property, it would be amazing to post it on the room in our hotel.

  5. Currently we create guests' Unique IDentifiers' (UIDs) from email addresses and it works great in most cases, however this is a flawed approach as email is not a required data point, and if a guest does not use one this effects duplicate guest profiles in MEWS (once the guest returns to the property for another stay). Properties then have to merge these profiles, losing time, and reporting accuracy.

    In my opinion this is not good user experience, is inefficient and requires a more elegant solution.

    We could for instance generate them from: Name + Surname + Street name instead.

  6. For properties, only the reservation manager has access to the Rate Management in Mews. So when employees are changing the rate of the booking, they will not be able to know what was the original price of the rate. They will only see from the action log the original rate and not the original price. Properties are pushing not just the original rate but also the original price of the rate in the action log without the products attached.

  7. With a property where length of stay plays a role for pricing, it would be convinient to see the number of nights directly under the arrival and departure day (both in timeline, but especially on "properties" overview.

  8. Having a feature where you can easily click on a preset with settings that you've created previously for the reservations report, making it faster and easier to extract the required information. Instead of having to re-enter the preferences for each property.

  9. If the property offers e.g. 10 baby beds the product should only be bookable if one of the 10 beds are available.

    Second option would be that e.g. only 2 of the 10 double rooms have the space for an extra bed -> restricting on room count

  10. Arrival and Departure notes in a separate field in the Reservation Properties

  11. Allowing users to manage the auto assignment of rooms. This should be an on property manageable process. Their are times that Mews does not properly manage inventory and availability in Mews creating odd gaps that force us to reassign reservations so that we can create space for new reservations.

  12. LIST VIEW of reservation overview(arrival, departure, inhouse) and possibilty to sort by for example "guest name", "room number", "price", "departure date", "number of persons" etc.

    If we have more than 10 arrivals we are not able to all in a glance. This is a BIG challenge for larger properties.

  15. For properties that do not have 24/7 coverage it would be nice to activate an automatic reply for the messages to mention e.g. that the property will reply within 12hrs or the next day.

  17. For example by configuration of a new property it is handy when you can export some configurations from an existing property and import this info in the new property.
    Such as:
    -pricing
    -space categories
    -accounting categories
    -accounting configuration
    -products

  18. It is today possible to automatize preauthorizations but we can't decide the amount that need to be charged. For example an automatic preauthorizations of 500€ would be charged on check in time less 4 hours for a specific type of property (if failed, check in would then be restricted->an email is automatically sent). On an other property type it would be 1500€. I think it could be done through the space type

  19. It is very important for chains to be able to have a common database for all the hotels. Customer profiles should be shared between properties as guests are loyal to the brand and stay in different property in the same group.
    With Mews, a new profile has to be created every time in each property

  20. The no show email the property gets, stating all the reservations that were cancelled with the reason "no show", includes the reservation numbers and the customers' names. It would be perfect, to also have on that the room numbers shown where there were allocated.
