  1. It is very difficult to read through all the ideas in this Forum or to search for one. So my idea is to send all Mews users an email if someone publishes an idea on here. Maybe you can turn this on or off in your preferences?

  2. The Identity Documents APIs would become much more useful to us if we could attach file(s) to them as well. For example, photos/scanned copies of the original document.

    Separate permissions for adding vs viewing any attached files would also help safeguard them by restricting who is able to download them after being attached. This is because they wouldn't often need to be viewed again once uploaded, but do need to be available for some period of time (not indefinitely).

  3. Mews should accurately allocate the price across different age categories. For instance, if a reservation includes products with child pricing, Mews should distribute the total cost based on child pricing and not just equally. For example, if the total price is 67.5 and the reservation has 2 adults and 1 child, the distribution should be 27 (adult price) multiplied by 2 (adults) and 13.5 (child price) multiplied by 1 (child).

  5. LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude.ai and others are used on a daily basis and help to simplify numerous everyday problems. It would therefore be important for Mews to build an integration for such models. For example, data such as ADR, sales, payment types, but also reservation data and availability should be able to be queried via an LLM and vice versa. Integration with common LLMs is now long overdue.

  6. Add "Voucher Redemption" as payment type for the payments/addExternal request. This allows external voucher tools (e.g. Incert) to specify the payment type when adding a voucher to a customer's bill as payment.

  8. In the basic rate, the price adjustment for additional occupancy or negative occupancy should be individually adjustable for each room. The invoices become increasingly distorted the greater the price difference between the rooms.
    The children's prices should either be adjustable as a percentage or also be adjustable per room, as the distortions here are also very strong.

  11. Currently, most Reservation Sync logs only note the reservationID string to communicate the necessary sync details to the CHM partner.

    However, some clients can find such details not very user-friendly when attempting to troubleshoot the matter. Is there a way to consider adding some other details that would assist the client an easier way to search for the relevant booking, especially when there is an error or warning? >> Essentially, something that is searchable either in Mews or the CHM extranet. Such as Mews or the OTA's Confirmation Ref Number.

  12. Include the possibility to retrieve reservation data based on the booking ID or external locator, so we can get the data of a specific reservation. This is important so we can log in users to different platforms based in their booking ID they have access to and match to the one from their PMS

  13. Given that I'm a hotel group, as the person responsible for application security, I'd like to be able to export the list of my users for each property with their associated roles and permissions via the API and a report,
    so that I can check that the right people have access to the right establishments with the right permissions and automate the process.

  15. According to Mews API documentation, there is only an option to get all cashier transactions: https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/cashiertransactions

    We would like to see an option to add a cashier transaction.
    The reason is: The fiscal machine in Slovak republic rounds the cash to 0.05 EUR. When the rounding occurs, we need to update the Mews cashier with the correct rounding amount so that the cashier balance and the balance in the fiscal machine match.

  16. Extend the Customers/getAll API so that customers can be searched by their phone number. This enables telephony integration. When a customer calls in it will be possible to display their name on the phone display and/or in the PBX web interface.

  18. This would be nice for Connector API too.

    Create an API Endpoint that properties can use to call on their optional blocks, AND those which do not yet have picked-up reservations, so they can create forecast reporting on expected income, associated revenues, rates details, and occupancy.

  19. It would be nice to grab event via WebSocket when there is a cashier transaction received, paid and when the shift is closing.

    Fiscal machines in Slovakia must record and send every cashier transaction to the government. Inspectors from the government can come on site and pull out data from the government cloud and check if the real cashier balance is the same as recorded in the cloud.

    With this cashier events together with the fiscal machine device commands events we can fulfill legal requirements in Slovakia while maintaining Mews as the main source of the information about cashier balances.

  20. Hi,

    in our property you can enter the Park before you checkin in you room, you get allredy your electronic roomkeys but your room is not ready in the morning. For this case we need a additional state for the Reservation like "Pre-Checkin" wich we can set before every thing is ready, to see that you entered the park but you are not in your room yet.
