  2. To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

  3. Hello,

    As of October 14, 2020, Google introduced new default property called Google Analytics 4 (GA4). If you would like to connect it with mews through Google Tag Manager (GTM), it is not possible to follow the exact settings as it was when setting the previous version of Google Analytics ( Universal analytics - UA).

    I am asking you if you can add an additional article or paragraph to your online documentation related to MEWS connection with GA4 through GTM.

  4. A solution to display room respecting "ADA" (American with Disabilitites Act") nicely on Booking Engine. Currently, you need to create a new room space for each ADA room. It complicates greatly the usability as user see many room type on Booking Engine. You can see a solution on freehandhotels.com booking engine with a tick box "Accessible"

  5. For Non Refundable Bookings or bookings with a payment at confirmation, refuse bookings for which payment has failed.

    Currently, bookings are accepted with failed payments and only a settlement task in created. This leads to excess admin for bookings that provide no income.

  6. It should be nice to have a calender drop down list for the arrival and departure date when adding a new booking in the system. Now you have to swipe through the months and takes a lot of time, especially when it´s for reservations for 2022 for example.

  7. On Google's paid networks: Search, Display and YouTube and I want to track conversions (e.g., which ads convert into confirmed bookings).

    A better approach to tags is allowing placement of Google Ads' conversion tracking code directly into Mews: 1) Booking confirmation page, and 2) Newsletter sign-up confirmation page.

    Beyond sales, tracking conversions for newsletter sign up is necessary too. For example, I can predict how much it will cost me to generate X amount of newsletter sign-ups with enough historical data. If my historical average is $3 per newsletter sign-up over 12 months, I know it will cost me about $1,000 to…

  9. The booking engine has a great functionality allowing guests to book in one reservation rooms for different set of dates.
    In the flow of the reservation, however, there isn't a clear call for action, or distinction letting the consumer know that this is an option. Only someone that knows how the booking engine works, would know that it's possible and where the click.
    It would be great if there was clearer path to this functionality, or a call to action before the reservation is confirmed, asking the guest whether they need another reservation for different days, navigating them back to…

  10. the property "The Olive boutique and spa" was thinking about uploading a video/GIF in the booking engine to show the customers more about the space. I found it interesting as we are striving to increase the Mews Booking Engine and therefore, the merchant usage.

  11. As a hotelier, I want to sell packages with special offers to my guests through Distributor.

    Example: Enjoy the Valentine day in our hotel! Weekend stay, romantic dinner for two and a bottle of Champagne for 599 EUR.

    I want these to be sold as packages rather than set up as special rates.
    I want them to look like special offer.
    I want them not to be limited to a specific date.

  12. When viewing the booking engine on mobile, the property name is dropped from view. You can still see a tiny logo, but that's it. Some sort of solution here would be helpful so the booker knows for sure what they're looking at.

    phone number can be now set as mandatory – you can do it in Distributor settings. How to open your distributor settings Is described in our help guide https://help.mews.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002246997%22.

    Speaking about nationality – what kind of problem are you trying to solve? Why do you need nationality mandatory?

    It is currently mandatory in Online check-in which is available for all of your guests.

  15. The Mews T&C's need to be accepted by the guest when making a booking via the Mews Distributor. These T&C's are in English, but some guest find that hard to read. It would be great to have this available in local languages.

  17. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.

    It is currently possible to receive a copy of the confirmation email when bookings are made from the Distributor. This functionality can be enabled in your stay settings by selecting the option “Order generates email”. You can use this option to trigger an automatic email notification for the relevant departments.
