  1. We are a charity who provide accommodation for people at a greatly subsidised cost. We would like the online check out to prompt/ask guests if they would like to make a donation during the online check out process and to ask if they are Gift Aid eligible as part of that. It is similar to retailers who ask you to donate when paying online to their chosen charities and would make a huge difference to us.

  3. We offer a guest different room categories and send him this in an offer.
    Now it must be possible for him to confirm only one category and reject all others.
    Unfortunately, this has not been possible to date.

  4. The standard mail templates provided by mews are great! However, one might want to make small adjustments.

    Currently, if you customize an email template the english 'Mews standard version' is shown. But for translations the fields are empty.
    Our only option is to have each mail template send to a test booking in every language and then deconstruct the html and translated texts in order to load them back in the system and change one or two words.

    Seems silly.

Every time you will see the online checkin, than it is a date and time when this was signed. We cant store location for this as well. Thank you for sharing your suggestions.


  6. As a manager of my property, I would like the ability to create events in "Calendar Events" and set to a cadence in which they recur that can be seen within the Guest Portal.

  8. For example: We work with a mobile app (Zaplox) with deeplink to the mobile app, but we cannot make us of the deeplink at this moment, because placeholder {ConfirmationNumber} is missing. Therefor guests have to do all manually.

  9. Hi - Self Check in has a maximum amount of times that it is possible to use ?! As it seems. Quote 100 has been reached for a regular guest of ours and he can not use the service anymore. The service self check in not usable anymore for that particular guest staying as often as he does. Is this correct ?

  10. At one property we do not send newsletters so asking guest to choose to receive our newsletter when we know we wont send them any feels wrong. Should be able to remove this tick option.

  13. Adding date of birth by a guest is not very intuitive at the moment. Almost every guest is taking quite some time to figure it out. So request to make this filling in more logical and intuitive.

  15. It would be very helpful if there would be a feature where the guests get a reminder on the day of their departure or the evening before with all extras or other services that still have to be paid. Then a button could be created on which the guests click and enter their payment information and thus pay all outstanding amounts and this would then have to be imported directly into the PMS via a two-way interface.

  16. When taking the picture via iphone in portrait mode, it uses EXIF to handle rotations. So in the preview mode it looks ok, but after uploading and redownloading the image is stripped of these information and shown in the incorrect rotation settings.

    There should be library to handle this. I would not suggest trying to solve this from scratch as there are too many scenarios.

    Open Navigator on the iphone.
    Go to your Personal information.
    Tap to change your picture and take a new picture in the potrait mode, upload and save.

  18. The ability to send out customized emails based on the day of the week a guest is arriving.

    As a hotel that offers different events and tours during the week, we want to be able to notify a guest prior to their arrival with information that is pertinent to their stay & experience only.

    Ie:
    Guest is arriving monday.
    They get email telling them about Monday Night Event, Tuesday Day Event, Tuesday Evening Event.

    Guest arriving on Wednesday.
    They get email telling them about Wednesday Night Event, Thursday Day Event, Thursday Evening Event.

  19. Please have a look at this issue with the online check-in.
    In short, we need the following to be activated when the guest proceeds with the online check-in option:
    1. Identify if the room is ready prior to proceeding with the online check-in, if the room is not ready; then the guest won’t be able to check-in.
    2. Guest information updated.
    3. Get guest credit card information.
    4. Charge the guest's credit card upon online check-in for the full stay/addons extras despite of the cancellation policy of the room rate.

Hey, I was thinking it would be cool if there is an online check-out option for guests who are in a hurry- just in case the queue is longer at some times- they could check themselves out via the plattform with which they booked and put in the keycard in a machine (like a ticket machine). To avoid people leaving without paying open bills, the machine could decline the keycard with a loud noise and inform us at the reception. I know that this might seem too good to be true and not manageable but I have actually been to…

    Hi Mewsers,
    we already offer the online check-out to guests who are in hurry and who want to skip the queue at the reception.

    Guests can do the online check-out from their phone, tablet, or laptop. In case there are some unpaid bills they are required to pay for them, they can add their billing details or claim items from minibar if your property have any.
