  1. The ability to add ages for our Family room reservations. Our family rooms accommodate 3 adults or 2adlt and max. 2 children up to 11
    As this feature is not available we have set up the room occupancy for 3 persons; either 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child so we currently lose bookings from families with 2 adults and 2 children. If we allow a room occupancy of 4 persons we start receiving bookings with 4 adults and our sofa bed is not equipped to take the weight of 2 adults

  2. If there is a note on a guest profile in ‘internal’ it would be great if when the profile was opened it alerted the operator.
    It wouldn’t matter is it was automatic or if we had to select ‘alert’
    EG – guest is a coeliac, rooms to avoid, comp fizz on next stay, guest likes a bath, dogs name. It can contain, positive, negative and important info that can be transferred onto next booking

  3. Multiple occupancy for a duration of stay.
    Expample: a Guest is staying for 5 nights. The first 3 nights is single occupancy and the last 2 nights are double occupancy. This should then have multiple rates *depending on the Hotel

  4. Now it is only possible to add a confirmation number in a reservation of there is an Travel Agency assigned. This option should always be available as many companies have there own confirmation number and cost centers they would like for us to add to a reservation, for it to be reflected on their bills/invoices.

    These can change from booking to booking and therefore not possible to put this in the company profile.

    Now there is a workaround by assigning a random OTA, then the bar appears you can fill in what you need and then delete the OTA. The…

  5. You can only select one rate plan but have the feature to select multiple segments, etc. Why not have the same feature for rate plans?

  6. Is it possible to make an 'add' option to a confirmation? As an example, people who book a specific room (no room type) and don't see that reflected on the confirmation. You can't mention this anywhere yourself on a confirmation. Examples such as a specific room number, beds apart or room at the front.

Guests occasionally have a reservation under one booking, followed by another reservation under a different booking number (e.g if they've decided to add another night or have been staying for work and adding another day as a personal expense). Under the current system they need to check out and get their cards recut which isn't a great customer experience, we need to manually allocate the same room for both stays, inform Housekeeping not to clear the room and if they haven't paid in advance, we need to pay extra attention to their billing as it's split over multiple bookings.

  8. Currently, Mews offers individual confirmation for all reservations - but if they are within a group, they all fall under 1 group reference number that does not trigger an individual and sequential reference # for the reservations attached.

    When duplicating Reservations, for example, it would be helpful if the reservation screen could trigger sequential group reservation numbers that are searchable but can also populate in the reservation report. Even in a simple group reservation setup, this form of referencing could be very useful.

  9. We would like to send our guests as little email as possible. Therefore, it would be great to be able to confirm two bookable services in one mail. For example parking and a room reservation. To avoid having to send to many emails.

  10. When a guest has already booked its room, they might add extra services prearrival. At the moment these services are added to the booking, we would love if Mews could take the payment directly. At this moment, we can only configurate automatic payments for room and breakfast, nothing else.

  11. We are missing a more efficient way to visualize cancellations in the reservation reports. Right now, you can see the cancelled status with a grey color that is not clear enough. Maybe red of a more vivid color.

  12. Adding a mandatory reason for waiving cancellation fees would help with internal auditing and accountability. We have a lot of cases where staff don't remember why the fees were waived and we are losing out on money. Providing this extra option would give the GMs a a good tool to monitor.

  13. It should be possible to set the order of the rates yourself in the reservation form. At the moment it is apparently incomprehensibly coincidental.

    The ordering works in the settings but not in the reservation form.
    It is very annoying when you have to open the dropdown menu every time because the most booked rate is not displayed first.

  14. I was trying to have 3 sets of restrictions on a given Rate Group.
    - One for arrivals up to 90 days
    - One for arrivals between 91 & 120 days
    - One over 120 days.

    Any smart ideas as to how this can be addressed, without having to create seperate rates to deal with each restriction.

  15. I would like to propose an enhancement to our reservation reinstatement feature that would greatly benefit our reception team and our guests. Currently, our system requires manually doing new reservations after a 12-hour period has elapsed. However, I suggest implementing an automatic process whereby upon reinstatement, the system adjusts the arrival date to the current day.

    Consider a scenario where a guest's check-in date is scheduled for March 19th, with a check-out date of March 23rd. If the guest is a no-show on March 19th but arrives on March 20th, we aim to reinstate the reservation with the new check-in…

  19. Provide functionality for auto-allocation of bookings to units, in order to spread revenue income evenly across owners. Rather than Top-Down, Bottom-Up, or Random, taking prior YTD revenue consumed by unit in to account would help spread revenue evenly and keep owners happy (particularly w/ Condo-Hotel types where individuals own specific units and put them in rental pools)
