  1. At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.

Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

  2. Availability Blocks no longer copy rates from the BAR, even if setup to do so. Instead these load Base Rate with weights.

This old school way of Groups pricing is no longer viable for properties with advanced RMS where each room is being priced fully dynamically and independently.

Please bring back that functionality to this absolutely great feature. Since the availability blocks were introduced, our Groups managers cut hours spent on having to manually process each quotation. But without this pricing in there, the tool became useless, unfortunately.

    Thank you.

Hello from the Mews product team,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with. We are currently resolving this request and would like to offer you the opportunity to test the updates in your demo, or live environment.

    The updates are as follows:

When a block is created, we now copy the rate price per space category, per day as well as any price overrides and pricing adjustments. This logic results in less manual price updates when creating availability blocks. You can find a visual overview for this functionality in the recording below:

If you would be interested in testing this feature, please let me know by responding to this email.

    Kind regards,

  3. Would it be useful if it was possible to generate a direct booking url for each rate you create.

This will enable you to link your promotions directly to the Booking Engine.

It will also allow you to provide your corporate clients with a link directly to their rate, as a supplement to the rate access voucher

  4. we seem to have an issue suddenly when creating a booking where the voucher rates are not displayed when attaching a company. this company has not got a voucher attached and if we leave the company blank, the correct voucher rates will display and are bookable.
this never happened before, so it looks like something has gone wrong in the last couple of hours.
    thanks for checking

  5. when creating a rate (or amending it), it would be handy if you had the opportunity to see what voucher(s) the rate is linked to and more importantly that you are able to amend it there and then.
now you need to remember the long name (we have a lot of the same names "corporate rate") and hoping you pick the correct one! not very efficient use of our time.

  8. When you have made an adjustment to a rate you have to go through the whole year to see that adjustment.

I.e. I have a base rate on 800 SEK. I have an adjustment that apply every sat - sun. That lower the price to 650 SEK. It's easy to do and hard to manage.

What if I'm not happy with the lenght of it or want to do adjustments to that adjustment. There is no overlook on what adjustments are applied. The only thing I can do is change the date and the start scrolling. How far did someone…

  9. The term Rate Hurdle also known as Lose-It Rate refers to a type of rate that sets a threshold that must be crossed by the channel manager to reserve a room. It generally frames the case at which a hotel is better off leaving the room vacant than to sell it. Hotels commonly do this in peak times in advance of reservations. The Hurdle Rate helps informing that rooms should be sold to whom, when and at what price to achieve maximum profitability for a hotel.

  10. if you want to extent a made booking, the price will automaticaly change. Also if you have fixed rates for a customer group, it changes to the daily rate, which is extremely wrong and not helpful.

  11. At the moment, if you set up a rate automation for OTA rates, the same trigger will be used for both virtual and physical credit cards. Ideally, there would be extra conditional fields in an "if this, then that" format. For example:

If Card type = Physical, then charge on confirmation
If card type = virtual, then charge on start day

This conditionality format would also allow for less rate groups, and increased flexibility if other conditions are also created. It could be implemented with an advanced settings button to keep the current layout as simple as possible.

  12. Same idea here as what we can do with static rates.

I.e. If we have a company rate that has 10 % off BAR. For next year they contract 15%.

We have to wait until the date that the new contract starts and change the "Relative Adjustment" instead of being proactive and set the price beforehand with an override.

This makes it bad for the customer as well cause they might want to book in advance but still get the old contract rate even tho they have a new rate coming up in just a couple of days.

  13. it is not always easy to find access to input calendar events. is there a way you are able to add it to the drop down menu for either rates or reservations, or even timeline.
the only way i find it now is through burger menu, settings, services and then click back at the top left corner on the name of the property. seems a bit weird.

plus it would be great if their could be a note field so that reservations know what rate, minimum stay, etc should be offered on those days

  16. When someone extends their reservation for multiple days you currently have to add the rates individually.
Ex. If someone has a reservation for Jan 1-30 but they want to change their departure to March 31 and their rate is 99.00 you have to manually enter 99.00 60 additional times in the pricing section. Can we get a feature that you can add 99.00 to all extra nights?

  17. Functionality to allow Room Type Overbooking while maintaining total capacity of the hotel.
When noticing high volumes of demand for standard rooms and upgrades won't sell, you can allocate an amount of rooms you want to overbook on the standard room while still maintaining the total capacity of the hotel.

  18. Other PMS systems I have used have "absorbed" products in the Rate.

For example you have a rate of £150 , part of this is £10 breakfast.
Currently in Mews if you change the price of breakfast , you then need to change all your rates separately which is time consuming.
It also means that if you have 342 rate, the 33% deduction only comes from the accommodation value and does not take into consideration the products.
If you change the price of a product it would be great if the value of the accommodation would also change automatically .

  19. If occupancy is DROP DOWN (less than / greater than) the following percentage: DROP DOWN (5%, 10%, 15% etc) Then price DROP DOWN (increases / decreases) for MULTIPLE CHOICE (Room types) by the following SELECT (nominal value / percentage) enter value: TEXT BOX.

    OR / AND

If time before start date is DROP DOWN (less than / greater than) the following TEXT BOX (Days, Hours). Then price DROP DOWN (increases / decreases) for MULTIPLE CHOICE (Room types) by the following SELECT (nominal value / percentage) enter value: TEXT BOX.
