Guarantee payment
Mainly for student and long stay activities, we need that Mews manage payments for guaranty. This payment is done by customer at beginning of reservation and put into bank in our side but doesn't corresponds to any sale.
At the end of reservation (1 year after or few months after), if there is no damage in the appartment, we will give back to customer this payment for guaranty. if there is damages in appartment, part of payment guarantee amount will be give back to customer, other part will be kept and a product of "appartment damages" will be add to…6 votescan we done as part of the Long Stays recurring payments functionality. We already offer a flow for incidental. for this scenario the amount has to be hold for longer period of time.

Pour déclarer une carte invalide sur un OTA il faut donner les 4 derniers chiffres de la carte. Mews n'en montre que 3 pour une amex. Il serait judicieux de modifier vos paramétrages pour que nous puissions en voir 4.

It would be helpfull if there can be added more reasons of payment request.
For instance :
Payment for Stay
Payment for Additional services
Payment for voucher
Etc.We now have to add a message in with the payment request in order to inform the guests

Please add Twint to MEWS Terminals.
It ist the biggest Payment accquirer after Mastercard and Visa.

Pop up on MEWS when payment is declined
When a guest pay at the hotel by a terminal and it gets declined, its not showing it at Mews as a pop up. I would like a big pop up in mews when a card is declined. I

Default Credit Card
It would be useful to be able to determine a "default Credit card" within the Payments Tab of the guests. Currently, it only offers Preauthorization, Card Payment, Disable, and Clear options.
This would be most helpful when we need to differentiate between the card for incidentals that should default for the reservation after the VCC or Company card has already been charged for the items they are responsible for.

BankAxept for Norway
BankAxept is the Norwegian local card payment scheme and is the most widely accepted card for point of sale payments.
The majority of BankAxept cards are co-branded. From these co-branded cards, almost all cards are co-branded with Visa and some with Mastercard.

Is it possible for me or mews to create more external payment methods though? We'd like external names to match with the actual payment met
It would be great for mews to allow properties to create more external payment methods that we can name what they are e.g. we take a number of different vouchers and we'd like to be able to create external payments that match the name of the voucher names. This would reduce errors with staff.

Payments VS Reservation report
Would be great to have a report (or the information added to Reservations Report) that ilustratrates all the information in reservation report plus payments made in that reservation and amount invoiced. would be nice to exist a invoice report with this information.

automating Booking.com prepayments
It would help if pre-paid OTA reservations were automatically processed as prepayments in Mews.

Be able to accept EFTPOS cards in Australia on Mews/Adyen Terminals
Currently EFTPOS(Electronic funds transfer at point of sale) is not an accepted payment method on the Mews Adyen Terminals.
EFTPOS is a widely used payment method & is issued by Australian banks. EFTPOS cards are not compatible with visa/mastercard.

Payment report to include earned revenue period
Can we have the Payment Report in MEWs amended to include the invoice info details in the report: i.e. move-in date and move-out date, similar to the ref information that is transferred from MEWs to Xero. The reason being that we want to be able to identifiy the payments received pertaining to the revenue for which month. It would be great if we have a detailed payment report which could be matched to the earned revenue period for accounting purposes.

Verifying payments: Mews notification change from payment successful to payment needs verifying.
At the moment Mews drops down a green box saying payment successful even when a payment needs verifying by a guest. This means many verifying payments get missed. I suggest when a payment needs to be verified a blue box drops down and says Payment needs to be verified. This way staff notice this straight away and payment gets verified by the guest then and there.

Name on the payment card
Add a section to specify third party name on the card used for payment. Having several cards registered to the guest makes it quite difficult to know which company is paying for the stay. Many thanks.

Edit the payment note
When we collect a payment on the payment screen you have an option to add a note, we use this to note down the transaction details room number and the name of the receptionist. sometimes you can make a mistake and put the wrong room number for example, what we would like will be the function to edit that note so when a mistake is made it can be amended.
This information is later used for generating reports and informing the staff during shift changes.

ELAVON - Provider other option than Stripe
The payment term of stripe is too long, Elavon offers a service of a better quality for cheaper also concerning the bank charges by card. The duration of funds transfer is between one day to two days. Stripe is between 3 days and 7 days of delay. In addition, credit card customer data is not secure at the same level at stripe (Cayman Islands).
We should have the choice to choose another provider following our place of activity. Currently stripe is the only possible option and the service is not up to the expectations of MEWS customers.
