  1. There are currently two ways to open the booking engine and I would like to see them combined.

    1. Standalone: to open the booking engine with a URL on a new tab/page of the browser. It also allows deeplinks to preselect language, currency, dates, persons, category etc.
    2. Widget: to open the booking engine in a, iframe popup overlay by creating a button with the class 'distributor-open' and without link.

    I would like to use a combination of them, so open the widget with a deeplink.

    It should be as easy as adding the deeplink to a button with the class 'distributor-open'.…

  2. I design websites for hotel and am working on the first site where Mews needs to be integrated. It surprised me to see that it is not possible to link to a specific room or package in the booking engine.

    Every hotel website I worked with wants a page on their where they describe and promote their room types and packages. It makes perfectly sense to add a [Book now] button to that description, which raises the expectation that you can directly book that room type or package with a click on that button.

  3. Many properties with accommodation packages (eg. spa, activities/tours etc) want the ability to first chose the package, prior to chose the room type as this could be an "early stage" upsell in the booking flow.

  5. we would like to offer our breakfast online for campers. Due to the different VAT rates, 2 items must currently be posted (share of drinks, share of food). This is of course too cumbersome for the guest.

    Is there a way that I can create a product when the guest books (e.g. breakfast camping 15,-) and Mews automatically splits this booked service into two products?

  6. On results page, the number of searched adults is located on a separate event (ga4FetchedWithOccupancy) from the event containing a Data Layer with searched dates, availableRooms, prices, currency. Include the searched adults number in the data layer of ga4CategoriesLoaded

  7. We should be able to create a booking engine for companies, where booking is only possible if you have a voucher code. This prevent guests withour a company agreement to book without giving credit card information.

  8. When a breakfast product (regardless of price) is attached to a reservation it should not be promoted again to the customer.

    Current Mews logic: “a product will not be promoted to a guest if it is attached to the booking” - suggested change “products within the same product category will not be promoted to a guest if any product within that category is attached to the booking”.

  9. When a reservation is done with 1 Adult + 1Child than the average price of the breakfast for both products will be displayed.Breakfast adults: 20€, Breakfast child 10€ then it displays 15€. This can be very confusing for guests + staff. It is better to display the price per each product and do not show the average price

  12. Create the option for a guest photo to be added to the Internals - Guest Notes section of MEWS please.
    The new update is great with categorized notes.
    Being able to upload a picture of our VIP and regular guests would be really helpful

  13. Guest/booker should be able to see which discount has been deducted from their bill, when a dynamic company rate or a campaign rate has been used.

  15. Currently the emails that are sent use the location name as the 'Sender' name. We would like to customize this, so that regardless of location, emails sent to our guests are using our company name (or something else).

  16. Could we add a descriptive text to the landing page, so we can clarify any current promotions or restrictions? Ie. “Accepting reservations for Summer 2024 now” - anything that would help prevent guests from selecting date selections that are in a blackout or have particular restrictions (ie. we do not allow Saturday check-in, so selecting any dates that begin on Sat returns no availability).

  17. Currently we are only able to upload one logo, which is used both in the top left of the booking engine, as well as the top of the email templates. As a result, we are stuck with a logo that works for one or the other, but not both.

    We would like to be able to set separate logos, so we can tailor them to the exact purpose they are being used for.

  18. Have the possibility send a seperate, secured link just to update the credit card details (not through online check in, but prior to booking) when guests want to book through e-mail, so guests can update their cc details without having to call or send the details through email.
