  1. Hello Mews Team

    As a hostel we rent out single beds in a dorm. In the booking engine those units shows as "maximum persons: 1", "available: 10". I understand the logic behind this, but many of our costumers seem to struggle with the "maximum persons: 1" bit when booking for multiple people.

    Ideally we would like to have the option which of our categories show the "maximum persons" tag.

  2. The Sign in image set under "Property" (seen in the guest portal) is also the image shown as background in the Booking Engine.
    We want the option to set different Pictures.

    Sign In image looks best in 640x800 while Booking engine background looks best in fullscreen (1080x1920).

  3. When sending a confirmation to a booker, the name of the guest does not appear on the confirmation letter but only the reservation number. This does not look professional at all and we receive many complaints by our guests. They feel like they are a number and not a guest.

  4. Possibility to show on the booking engine ONLY the rooms available to book once a date has been selected and not show the one already booked and not available anymore.
    From a sales point of view, we would rather show the rooms we sell and not the one we already have sold.
    If a visitor on our website wish to book a specific room type, which in this case is not available anymore, he will most likely book somewhere else. It does not add any value to our property to show the guest what is already fully booked.

  5. differentiate the markup by competitor. EG: Booking =114%, HRS=110%, Weekendesk=120%,etc., because markup percentages are different per company.
    Now it is only possible to give One markup for all chosen Competitors.

  6. Show the guest that their promotional code had worked right when they put it in the booking engine

    The guest enters the promotion code, then the next page, they are choosing a category, but it doesn’t show the promotional rate until the following page.
    If the promotional rate didn’t work, the guest wouldn’t know. When the guest puts in the promotional code - there should be something that indicates, "this worked!"

  7. Currently, when booking with Mews Booking Engine, it won't allow me to use the payment cards stored in 1password.

    It'd be great to allow this to make the whole booking process easier.

  8. As this is in the marketplace for booking.com or channel manager, we would disable the connectivity with Mews booking engine.
    It allows us to keep the quotation tool on the pms but do not have the rates online.

  10. I set up our parking slots as a bookable service.
    In the Mews booking engine, the guest sees a "bed symbol" at the availability.

    It would be nice to have a car/parking symbol there, not a bed. :)

  11. When you are in the booking engine, the property logo appears at the top left. On most websites, when you select the logo it brings you back home. In the Mews Booking Engine it does nothing. There is an "X" Box at the far top right corner that accomplishes this but with some users the "X" may mean to close the window. It would be a nice feature to be able to click on the logo and return to the home screen where ever you are in the booking engine.

  12. Currently a guest can only search for dates; checkin and checkout. Some guest have a strong preference for a particular apartment type and they want to know on which dates this apartment type is available. Currently this is not possible. Guest can only try a million times by entering dates and hope it is bookable. The solution can be calendar view or at least provide info on which dates there is the first availability. Apartment 'Superior' is available on July 25'th for 4 nights. With a calendar view (see AirBnb example) it is easy to see the free available spots.…

  13. In the "Categories" screen there is always a "Maximum persons" info below the room name.
    For beds this always shows "Maximum persons: 1", which is quite confusing for a lot of guests. - It looks like there is only 1 bed left.
    Could you remove this info? Or is it possible to enable/disable this information by ourselves?

  15. If we are able to customise fields like "category" hotels can call it room, we can call it apartments etc. Just much less confusing than category for the user.

  16. Currently, there are only a few options for how emails are automatically sent. It would be ideal if you could control which booking channels will automatically have emails delivered. For example, AirBnB has a very strict off-platform communication policy. If we could send emails automatically to everyone except AirBnB, or even tailor our emails granularity for each channel, that would be immensely beneficial.

  17. Display the description of the Rate Group on the payment page. It is cumbersome to users that the only way to communicate deposit and cancellation policy text is within each and every rate plan. It is not sustainable and lots of opportunity for error. The policy text should be associated with the rate group not the rate plan and should display on the payment page.

  18. Would be great if cancellation policies can be added in reservation details mentioned in booking confirmation received by customer.
    Like this, he is fully aware of specific cancellation policies, even if booking directly with hotel via phone or email.
