Property Operations & PMS

Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. You'll find a category here for each of the major topics in property management, and if you can't find the right category, please search or post to the Other category. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

Please keep in mind that there is a separate forum for topics specific to the operations of hotel chains and groups. Go to the Multi-property management forum for anything about portfolio management or rate, product, package and restriction functionality across multiple properties.

  1. When using Mews to book a reservation, there are times a manager needs to have the ability to override the restrictions and "Force-Sell" a room. Example the property may have a 2 night minimum, but wants to book a VIP for 1 night only. The process now is to remove the restriction, book the reservation and put the restriction back on which exposes availability. Better to have a NS (Normal Sell using restrictions) and FS (Force-Sell with overrides restrictions) for Management use only.

    Hey Mewsers,

Good News! It is my pleasure to announce we have started a Beta of an improvement to our search bar that will allow users, among many things, to easily find the unassigned reservations that are causing the infamous red line on the timeline!

If this is a common need, you can even save this search as a favorite (with the star icon on the search bar) and avoid having to type it!

If you would like to take part of the Beta, please join the conversation via the Community post here.

    Yours,

    Ettore Zotarelli

Hey everyone from the community! 🙌

I'm happy to announce that we started the development of this functionality and will be in beta testing in the upcoming few months!

I'll share more information here once we're up and running so that you can join the beta testing program and share with us your thoughts.

I can't wait to make the Timeline experience better for all of you 👏

Hello, it's Martin here, from Mews.

Thank you for upvoting the topic of scrolling on the timeline. We are currently adding this option & looking for testers. If you want to test the solution and share your feedback with Mews product team, please, let us know by responding to this e-mail.

    Kind regards,

    Martin Kucera
