  3. for age limited hostels / hotels, is there an option to automatically check in guests after a certain time, if they have completed online check in and their dob is between a certain range?

  4. We require a solution to accurately manage single room reservations where multiple guests (sharers) have varying arrival and departure dates within the booked period. The current system limits us to registering a static guest count for the entire stay, which results in inaccurate occupancy data and complex billing scenarios (especially concerning automated price codes like breakfast).

    Key Requirements (The Three Needs)
    To correctly support shared rooms with dynamic occupancy, the system must address the following three critical needs:

  5. We would really appreciate having the option for parking to be automatically marked as “checked-in” once the guest checks into their room and also automatically adding the parking booked on the bill to the timeline of Parking Service.

    Currently, having to switch between services to manually check in the parking is inconvenient and time-consuming, especially during busy check-in times. Automating this step would greatly improve front desk efficiency.

    Additionally, it would be very helpful to have a “parking” icon displayed in the guest profile, so we can quickly see who has a parking spot.

  6. Dear MEWS Team,

    I would like to share a suggestion regarding the Timeline view, which has a huge yet unexpressed potential.

    While visually clean, it does not leverage one of the most powerful tools for operational efficiency: colour-coding.

    Color can instantly convey information that, otherwise, requires opening each booking or navigating multiple sections. Introducing colour indicators directly on the Timeline could transform it into a true operational dashboard, providing immediate, high-impact insights for the front office and reservations teams.

    Here are some examples of what colour-coding could highlight:
    • Payment Status (e.g., prepaid, pending, partially paid, failed)
    • Booking Source…

  7. Sería de gran ayuda un permiso de Usuario que permita saltar restricciones de tarifas a la hora de introducir reservas.

    En nuestro caso trabajamos con tarifas que están limitadas por mínimas y máximas estancias de x noches. Y en ocasiones tenemos que hacer excepciones para prolongaciones de clientes.

    Así que nos vemos obligados a quitar la restricción para poder introducir la reserva, y volver a ponerla.

    Esto se solucionaría con un permiso para saltar restricciones.

  8. Currently, the way room numbers are sorted in Mews is fixed and there is no way to change it quickly. It would be helpful to be able to sort rooms numerically, alphabetically or by floor and to allow for quick changes between these displays for different workflows.

  9. When adding a product to an open bill, even though the product is linked to the reservation, if the reservation is canceleld the productstays charged. Any product that is linked to a reservation, wether it is a bookable product or not should be cancelled automatically when the reservation is cancelled.

  10. Since some days the timeline always jumps/ changes in a way that the reservation clicked on appears in the middle of the window on the left side. Also if you just want to move a reservation to another space. This is really annoying.

  11. Very often the touroperator/agency have a common email they use for bookings. It should be possible to eighter register the same email on several persons, or choose company email to confirm booking,

  13. Automatische Suche/ Eingabe von Bundesländern. Ich empfinde es als äußerst mühsam, die Bundesländer selbst "auswählen zu müssen". Speziell wird bei Bundesland dann nicht nur die Österreichischen Bundesländer angezeigt - sonder alle (aus Italien, Deutschland, Schweiz). Trotz das ich bereits Land Österreich ausgwählt hätte.
    In Zeiter der Digitalisierung und KI - sollte das Programm von der Postleitzahl und Land - das Bundesland selbst "raussuchen können". Ich selbst benutze zu 90% dazu auch Google

  14. Problem:
    When you update a product price in Mews (like breakfast), it only applies to new bookings. But if a guest changes their reservation (like the dates), Mews may remove the original product and re-add it at the new price not the one that was originally booked. This causes confusion for staff, inconsistent pricing for guests, and potential overcharges. Even with the workaround of creating new product versions and stopping sales of the old one, the issue can still happen, especially when guests change bookings via OTAs like Booking.com.

  15. It would be good if you didn't have to create room moves as 2 separate reservations but could "link" the reservations. Otherwise, the guests receive double pre- and post-stay mailings, we have to correct the registration forms manually and it also distorts the overnight stay statistics with additional arrival/departure and length of stay.

    Es wäre gut, wenn man Zimmerverschiebungen nicht als 2 separate Reservierungen anlegen müsste, sondern die Reservierungen "verknüpfen" könnte. Ansonsten erhalten die Gäste vor und nach dem Aufenthalt doppelte Mailings, wir müssen die Anmeldeformulare manuell korrigieren und es verfälscht auch die Übernachtungsstatistik durch zusätzliche An-/Abreise und Aufenthaltsdauer.

  16. When searching for merge of Customer profiles, is it possible to add a filter, so that similar profiles with existing profiles at the hotel (reservation +1) to be shown on the list? Instead of only the name and email ?
    For exp Daniel Andersen (Reservation +1) and possible email ?
    This would make the merging of customer profiles a bit quicker !

  17. As a hotel that operates fully digitally with self check-in and digital keys, we’ve occasionally encountered cases where a guest was accidentally checked in on Mews, even though their reservation balance hadn’t been paid.

    To avoid such situations, it would be great to have a restriction option that prevents Mews users from checking in guests until their outstanding balance is settled.

    Ideally, this restriction could be configurable, allowing exceptions for certain segments, such as corporate or group bookings that have agreements to pay after the stay.

  18. We would like to be able to set priorities for multiple Cancellation policies within the same Rate group. For example if the rate group has 30 days cancellation policy, but also needs to apply free cancellation within 24hr after confirmation, if the booking was made less that 30 days prior to arrival, 24 hr free cacellation should kick in first and exclude 30 days cancellation policy.

  19. Praktisch wäre es, wenn man in der Zeitachse eine Buchung auswählt, dass man per Doppelklick die Buchung direkt öffnet. So wähle ich die Buchung aus und gehe dann rechts unten auf "Bearbeiten". Sollte man nicht bearbeiten wollen sondern nur die Anzeige oder "Drucken" oder "Einchecken", kann man dies ja immer noch per einfachem Klick und dann rechts die gewünschte Aktion auswählen. Erspart ein wenig Zeit.

  20. Would be very helpful if the dietary restrictions or allergies the guest enters on their profile to also appear on their booking in the timeline and not just under their profile. This will save us a huge amount of time
