Navigate to the timeline from the reservation module
When you click on the "Timeline" symbol on the guest future reservation. The system does not brings you to the exact reservation on the timeline. you have to check for that on the search bar. I think it would save time if we can access straight away from the guest reservation.
4 votesHello from the Mews product team,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are very happy to inform you that this issue has been resolved. When selecting the reservation icon for future reservations, you will now be directed to the correct space the reservation is allocated on the timeline.
Should you encounter any issues with this functionality, please do let us know.

notes
Notes in reservations is now a small box with just 3 lines visible. We need to adjust the size of the box or else we lose time scrolling down and looking the text.

See a month or longer on the timeline
like when you are scrolling up / down you condense the number of spaces displayed on the timeline, you should also be able to do that with the number of days displayed. It would be great if you would be able to see at least one full month on the timeline (ideally would be at least two months!)
27 votesHello Mewsers,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.
We are happy to inform you that we have introduced, a new filter on the timeline that allows you to view the timeline by month, in addition to the day view.
You can learn more about this feature in the guide linked below:

Room move during the stay of our Guest
A guest stays in the hotel for a longer period of time. Now he has to move to another room. It would be nice if there is a possibility to move this room. For example with drag and drop. As an alternative, the booking should be marked with a symbol so that you can recognize the guest is staying longer in the house!
11 votesHi Emmeran,
It is currently possible to split a reservation during a guests stay.
You can perform this action by opening a reservation → selecting the “properties” tab. In the section “Split reservation”, select the date and time that the guest will begin their stay in the new room.
Once you’ve select “Ok”, you will be able to view two reservations for the guest. The current reservation will be labelled “Checked in”, and the reservation for a future date will be labelled “Future”.
From here you can move the either reservation to a desired space.
You can find more information on the steps mentioned above in the Mews guide:
https://intercom.help/mews-systems/en/articles/4245552-split-a-reservation
Should you have any questions related to splitting reservations, our customer care team will be happy to assist you.

Filter the timeline by space category
For larger properties is would be handy to filter the timeline by space category. E.g. if you have multiple categories the property can select only standard room in the filter to see only the spaces/reservations for the standard space category to change allocations.

Add extra line at the top in timeline to implement large events in City or warnings or international holidays.
We are a Boutique hotel with 40 rooms without meeting rooms. Located In between centre of Amsterdam and a large (RAI) conference Centre. In case of large conferences or Events in the city we can sell at higher rate than leisure. Because these city wide conference are known for years ahead we like to have a space on top of timeline to place the name of the event with warning like "only sell high' or 'do not offer to groups' .
169 votesNow you can add special events or notes in your Enterprise Settings. These show as an icon & note on the Timeline & Rate Management screens, and on the Availability and Occupancy reports.
Check out this guide to learn how to user these calendar events: https://help.mews.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001837618-Create-modify-or-delete-a-calendar-event

A blank space for TETRIS!
On the timeline sometimes when we have over bookings we need to play the old tetris move some people and re-arrange their stay in order to fit everybody in, however when there is hardly any room you cant simply move the bookings easily. what would be very very VERY useful will be to have a section where you could dump up to 3 bookings in order to make some room while you try to fit everyone in. kinda like a blank space at the top of the timeline or a little pool for tetris you know you can even call…
76 votesHello from the Mews product team,
Thank you for the suggestions and upvotes.
With the addition of the Optimise Space allocation on the timeline, the old tetris game just got easier!
Not only do you have to worry less about playing tetris on the timeline, you can also choose to move reservations to an extra slot from the reservations module by selecting “none” instead of selecting a room number; this action can be performed for several reservations.
You’ll now be able to view the reservation(s) that you have moved in the overbooking slot from the timeline, from here you can easily arrange and rearrange reservations as per your preference, or select the optimise timeline button to automatically move the reservations to an optimal location.
Kind regards,
Aldair -

Fellere kleuren
We zouden het fijn vinden als er op de tijdlijn meer met fellere kleuren gewerkt zou worden. Aankomst, ingecheckt, uitgecheckt/ toekomstige boeking.. Dit maakt het onderscheid makkelijker.
9 votesHello Mewsers,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We have recently updated the colors on the timeline to become more vivid.

zoom out timeline
We get a lot of overbookings which are not really overbookings we just need to move rooms around to do it.
Currently mews does not allow us to zoom out the timeline far enough to be able to do this. We have many bookings for more than 2 weeks so we cannot see the begginning and end of the booking on the timeline. This means it is impossible to move bookings around on the timeline to be able to fit in the 'overbookings'. this is going to be a huge issue for us if not fixed as we have this…24 votesHello, the monthly view is available in Mews and allows you to display bookings longer than 2 weeks. The moving functionality is currently not supported, but we will consider it in the next iteration.
More details about how to switch between different views on the timeline can be found here: https://help.mews.com/s/article/timeline?language=en_US

Currently, you can distinguish reservations on Timeline by once that are checked-in or not. However, with this feature, you will have a better visual difference between departures, arrivals and more.
