End of day Restriction / Stopsell
We don't have 24 hour reception so it would be helpful if, when reception closes, we can put a restriction / stopsell on the remaining rooms so no one can book them after hours
We are currently adding a Restriction with the start date and end date being the same to get around this issue
Blocking multiple rooms is also time consuming and alters management reportsAs great as Mews is, I've used 6 other PMS and this is the first one to not have a feature similar to this

Option to add produt rules on travel agency
Give also an option to add product rules on Travel Agency level. Due contract or other reasons we need to apply some rules to specific Travel Agency which could not be distinguished by creating a separate rate plan. With this option even a rate plan is shared or booked by multiple Travel Agencies but a product will only be added to that specific Travel Agency.

Consume item on check in
Under the Items tab in a reservation where products can be added, such as Pet-friendly room, extra bed etc. ( Products of course depends on your local set-up of products), certain products require a date of consumption. A button or checkbox for such one time items/products that links date of consumption to check in time would be really handy!

Payment method on confirmation and visible on reservation screen.
We are missing the feature in reservations to quickly see payment method.
We would like to request an option or tick-box with:Payment type:
1. Upon arrival by cash or card.
2. Roomnight, breakfast and citytax on account.
3. All costs on account.
4. Package via voucher, citytax and extra’s upon departure by cash or card.It is intended for check-in and for on the confirmation to the guest.
We have a lot of business guests during the week, some need to pay themselves and some go on account to the company.With check-in the receptionist should with a glance…

Payment status color in arrival report
When we open our arrival donut report we would like to see really quickly who paid and who didn't pay.
For example: green dot-paid everyhing, yellow dot, an amount less than 50 euros to be paid and red dot more dan 50 euros to pay.

Product Report: Deleted Products / Filter Categories
When opening the new product report, and then selecting the service type, the report SHOULD automatically provide only the product categories attached to this service type.
Then, upon selecting or deselecting the category, the products listed should be ALL ACTIVE products, and not 'some' deleted products and some active products, and it definately should not an INCOMPLETE list of products.
Alternatively, in the product details, one should be able to designate the product to be 'listed' or 'unlisted' in the product reports default setting.
Speed in combination with paperless is of essence; and when "all products" is selected, it occurs…

split out of order blocks
it would save a lot of time if the yellow out of order blocks could be split instead of us having to shorten them and create a new one for the other half when we only need to open up a room for a certain date.

Splitting reservations should not increase pick up
When splitting a booking, it creates a new booking, and pick ups in any RMS. Please don't consider a booking as a new received booking, as it false pick up and data.

Increase Resource Category Quota
Holiday rentals/apartments that are dotted around a city/country will often have a situation where each room is its own category. Currently there is a limit of 120 per service. It's possible to create a service per region/city however this isn't very scalable when a region reaches 120 resources and then everything has to be split to a new service.

More automation in the product rules
Now it is possible to use age categories. But these age categories just affects the room revenue. We need it also for products. For example child pricing: in a package (room + breakfast) not just the room rate should be reduced but also the product breakfast.
Great solution would be like that: in the product rule, we should be able to choose, if the product "breakfast adult" would be added when there are just adults in the room and the product "breakfast child" would be added, when there is another age category choosed. So basically product addition in product rules…

Availability Notifications for Inquired Reservations
Instead of overbooking, we use Inquired Reservations as a waiting list to optimise occupancy. It'd be great to get notified when a reservation is cancelled that there are inquired reservations for that date which can potentially now be confirmed.

rooming list lock
If a room list is uploaded and thus guests are assigned to rooms, it would be good if the rooms were locked against moving by default.

Extra Origin Option : Walk-In
When creating a reservation the option "In Person" is too limited for us. We have quite a high number of reservations that are made at the desk for a future stay. Therefore we cannot see the difference between reservations made in advance and "Walk-Ins".
Here an extra option: Walk-In would provide extra reporting and analysis opportunities.

list of booker names doesn't display when making a reservation (window is hidden)
think there is an issue with the system as normally you are able to see the drop down window. now it seems to be hidden behind the availability window underneath. please look into this urgently as it creates more work with having to add this after the booking has been made.
PS - even on the next screen where there is no other window underneath are you able to see the bookers names!
PS2 - NOWHERE are you able to see the bookers names, not even in the reservation itself - madness!!!2 votesHi Simone,

We are currently looking into this issue, and would like to know a few more details, would you be able to ket us know if you are currently using Mews on Mobile or desktop as well as the browser you are using?
It is currently possible to view booker names on the reservation module, the booker name appears on the right hand side of the reservation module under the "Status" section.

Availability Blocks pick up pattern
When I enter a block pattern (example: 4-7-5-5-3) the system makes me pick the rooms up as if I have 4 rooms staying for one night, then 7 rooms staying for one night, then 5 rooms staying for 2 nights etc. instead of staggered arrivals with different lengths of stay like blocks typically are. Can that be changed?

Thank you for your suggestion. Availability blocks in Mews allow for availability to be adjusted per space category per day as you have described above. When availability is adjusted, a set number of spaces are removed from public availability per day.
It is possible to support staggered arrival dates within an availability block, however the arrival dates are limited within the contractual constraints agreed upon i.e the number of spaces made available per day.
Based on your example above, it appears that you are referring to run of house reservations. Is that the case?
