Different space setting for hostels
As for hostel, it would be great to have each bed counted as 1 space, so that total space amount reflects the exact amount of beds.
We have an option to book the whole room, but also single beds in dormitory.
Currently, every room and every bed counts as 1 space.
It is confusing as for now 8-beds dormitory is counted as 9 spaces (8 beds as 8 spaces + the whole room as a separate space)!Furthermore, changing the dorm status (dirty->clean->inspected) does not affect the status of beds, we have change the status of every single bed one…

Configurate Mews commander for external/outsourced housekeeping services
In case the cleaning service is outsourced, the current configuration of MEWS gives certain problems, even configuring the users with only housekeeping permissions:
In App Commander:
- It does not allow the external cleaning manager to assign spaces to his employees
- You can access all kinds of information about the tasks, not just those of the cleaning departmentOn Web Commander:
- It allows you to see information about guest reservations (name, price, commissions...)It would be very useful to solve these issues so that it is really a useful application that can be used in case the service…

Make Commander App more user friendly for housekeepers by making the markings BUTTONS
Right now, marking a room requires the use of a drop down menu. This menu is small, and not colour coded.
Instead, putting 4 buttons with colour and icons will help housekeepers use this app.
We have housekeepers with limited ability to read, and some who are not adept to technology. This would help both tremendously.

Swiping left will also revel each state that can be identified by different coloured buttons.

Display how many nights a room has been vacant for?
Can we have a column on the space status report displaying how long a room has been vacant for? This is especially useful for Legionella purposes for example. Thanks

space allotting to the housekeeper
make it easy for house keeper by just giving data the check out or the stay which makes them feel more comfortable and the paper looks nice and clean as housekeepers do not need the name of the guest.

Make product Save the Planet visible in commander app
Customers can choose to join the save the planet program, and therefor have no housekeeping services during their stay. We made this a product so customers can book the Save The planet program online. or front office can add it to a reservation. This product needs to be visible in the commander app. And if possible Housekeeping should be able to add the product during customers stay.

Mark whole room as dirty, as soon as one bed is dirty
Even if there is only a stayover in one bed of a dorm, the whole room should be marked as dirty the next morning, so that HK know they have to check it. So you don't risk to book guests into a dirty room

it would be easy to see the room number for a task on the app of a mobile phone.

We are very happy to inform you that we now show the room number, and reservation details for all tasks linked to reservations in the Mews mobile app.
You can test this functionality by linking a task to a reservation in Mews web > open the mobile app > in the tasks tab you will see the link icon > select the link icon to view reservation details including the room number.
It is also possible to select the room number to be directed to the linked room in the Mews mobile app.

It would be great if tasks and rooms could be assigned to housekeepers with one action. Instead of switching between "Space Status" page and "Tasks" page.

Room status after cleanup
Hello, I'd like to share an idea regarding the Housekeeping.The hotel bought mobile phones for every chambermaid and the manager in order to work with the Mews app and the features it offers. However, we have noticed, that if our chambermaids do the cleaning (they change the status from DIR-->CLN) and the manager inspects it and is satisfied ( change from CLN -->INS ) marks it as inspected and it stays like that until further change.
The issue emerges when we're talking about a room, where does the guests stay, 'cause the app says "inspected" even the other day, when…

We are very happy to inform you that we have released a setting called "Check-in makes space dirty". With this option selected an inspected room will be marked as dirty as soon as a guest checks in. If a guest is staying overnight the space will automatically be marked as dirty at midnight.

Automatic and manually services to be applied on bookings and reported
Option to choose automatic housekeeping services to be applied on all bookings that has a stay for more than x days, such as towel change every x days and bedlinen every x days during a stay. Also the option to manipulate, add or move these services to other days. A report on all these services should be possible to access so that the housekeeping team can organize and plan the work volume for the upcoming xx days.

Status screen, an besides of just having the time/hour the check-out was made, couldn’t there also be some other kind of indication (like C/O) that the room/bed was already checked-out too?

I would like to be able to prioritise which spaces need to be cleaned first when assigning spaces to my employees.
Please may you add the filters for example dirty departed and departing in space assignment form.

Arrival/Departure report without confidential guests data/rates
We would love a report that we can pull for housekeeping to estimate staffing levels - only with upcoming arrival and departure dates, without guests email addresses, phone numbers and rates. A possibility to strip out that information automatically would be great to send it to an outsourced housekeeping team.

The updates apply to the header of the Space Status report, and the report export where you will find a new "Totals" tab.

Assign employee to a floor
Would be much easier to assign floors to every housekeeper instead of spaces. They already work everyday by floor so would help them to keep the same organization that we have today. Also regarding the assignments would it be nice if they can see them on the Commander app. That will void printing reports everyday. The supervisor can assign a floor and the housekeeper can be able to see that on the app in order to know what need to be done during their shift.
