Send confirmation without rates
Option to send a confirmation without rates. We have a lot of companies that book rooms for their guests. They, understandably, don't want their guest to know the price that was paid for the room. Now we have to make manual confirmation for these companies to forward to their guest.

Agree - we often have upset secret escapes customers wondering why their bedroom is cheaper once we confirm their reservation.

I'm very interested to know how other properties that accept bookings from Expedia conceal the room rate on confirmation emails. These are negotiated rates and when Guests see them, they want to know why they paid more than the rate the property charges because the Guests aren't aware of the commission Expedia keeps. To not have a way to sent OTA bookings a confirmation without a rate is puzzling to me.

We would like to use this same booker e-mail to travel agencies who have contracted rates so to hand confirmation over to final guest visiting hotel

One more thing! If you gave us placeholders for {arrivalDate} {departureDate} {personCount} and perhaps a few more, that would greatly help us tailor our Guest Journey mails to our individual needs.

I would like to add, the same applies to all guest journe emails, like Pre-Start Emails etc ... ! Especially there!

I would like to second the comment from Magnus! For Expedia Collect or VeryChic guests for example rates must not be displayed in any guest journey mails!
It should be possible to just remove rates from reservations details placeholder. For example provide a placeholder for the templates without rate details, just arrival, departure, and guest count. -

Offer the ability to Bind a rate that will not be communicated within the confirmation. We use a Corporate rate code to book media stays to be charged back to marketing. It would be great to send the media stay a confirmation without explaining in a separate email that they will not be responsible for the rate. This would benefit Wholesaler, receptive, and OTA bookings as well!

We just had a guest who received a system generated confirmation email disclosing the rate the OTA pays to us (which is without commission and thus lower than what they paid for their booking).
How do we prevent this from happening? -

Without a doubt this is incredibly important. Retreats are a major part of our business and I'm paranoid about emails going out that show the rate information the group leader is paying - and then reselling.
If a rate got to a guest, we would lose our client!

Yes or exclude rates on confirmations for certain rate codes, channels or travel agencies. As an example Expedia Collect.

When there is an intermediary in between the Hotel and the guest, it would be really helpful to able to send a confirmation to the final client with hided rates.

Imo this could also be an option "hide for customer" on the configuration of the Stay product item and/or when posting the product through the Items screen
This way it will not be displayed on the reservation confirmation (when the present is added later and in case a confirmation email is resend for whatever reason).
As the charge for the Stay product can be routed already to another bill (of the person paying for the product), it will not be visible on the guest's bill. -

If a third person wants to purchase a gift such as champagne, flowers etc, currently the product is visible to the staying guest on the confirmation and dashboard.
Products have to be set up as stay products so they can be in the product report forecast, so there is no other option.
The only way to work around this at the moment is to add an additional product for every product with the external name * (asterix), so it does not show in the products of the confirmation etc -

Well, this would be helpful for the "booking for someone else" section. Usually, TAs book for other guests and don't want them to see the accommodation fee.
Currently, in order for a TAs to book for another guest, they need to enter a "fake" e-mail in order to avoid having a confirmation sent to the customer.
Therefore, it would already help a lot, if the e-mail address would not be required for the guest profile in case another person creates the booking.
