    I would like to suggest the following set-up, as major PMS systems uses.
    This is more financial point of view within Mews system, so just to give you an idea how it should work, I can explain the following:
    Financial Process: Upon arranging contracts for travel agencies or companies we are following these steps as standard (Off line)
    1. Mutual signed contract agreement between the property and the Travel agency or company.
    2. Approve the credit application form for companies or travel agencies, and depending on the credit checks; we can grant the relevant credit to open…

  3. I would like to see how long it takes my reception staff to do a check in. If the activity log showed the time from a reservation opened to the time they check it in.

  5. When charging an extra guest, MEWS should allow percentage based on the daily rate.
    Right now, MEWS only allows to add a flat rate and this limit our capacity of getting more incomes.

  6. To be able to make a report regarding the Space Status by date, so one could know the exact Space Status (Dirty/OOS/Inspected) on a certain date in the past.
    Right now, if one changes the date on the Space Status Report, it will pop up today´s info.

  7. We use the Mews messages for some internal announcements.

    It would be great it there is an option to delete (internal) messages threads and to remove members from the thread.

  8. If the channel manager has made reservations (and therefore it's not possible for the rest of us to merge groups), or if we have several bookings from different backgrounds and do not wish to mix their billings, it would be great to connect the reservations somehow. In stead of group, call it "related" or similar.

  9. Right now: After making one task, you have to go back to "tasks" to find the "Add new task"-button if you need to make a second task.
    The idea: Create an "Add new task"-button at the same page as you just created your lastest task.

  10. The reserved space for a hotel logo is very narrow. A wide and narrow hotel logo is therefore very small and unattractive. To avoid the need to adapt the hotel logo (corporate identity), I wish that the design of the header on the guest invoices is much more flexible and that it is possible to display a wide logo in a suitable way.

  11. At the moment you're not able to schedule a future out of service (still selling) room, while you can schedule a out of order (no longer selling) room. I would need to be able to schedule out of service as well. For example in situations where we have maintenance go into the room and the reception and the housekeeping staff shouldn't use the room, but we still want to sell the room as it will be done same day.

  12. Transfer extras, as for example lobby bar items from one room to another, should be possible to search for room numbers, instead of names / mailadresses. A transfer of items goes faster and smoother. For example are group bookings from OTAs not stated as a group in mews and cant be merged. So when group leader / guest wants to pay for all, but everyone in the grouphas posted items individually in the rooms, that is not easy.

  13. When you unassign an employee from a space assigning a new one overrides the previous employee. Please add signal before you assign an employee to a room/floor which is already assigned to someone else.

  14. Now the ageing periods are based on age relative to expiry date. But in fact you ageing period should be relative to invoice date, especially if you would consider adding an ageing factor. In the best scenario this could be an extra filter for that page: Ageing based on expiry date or on invoice date.

If I am only to have certain roomtypes available for a ratecode or for a voucher, I currently need to place "close restriction" one by one on every roomtype that should not be sold for this specific rate/voucher. IF you could define what roomtypes a particular rate or voucher should be valid for, you would not need to make all these close restrictions.

  19. In the case where there are long term guests that wish to pay weekly. You can have a card saved in their profile and charge weekly accordingly.

    This would help alot with hostels who have staff working in the area for long periods at a time.
