  1. If there are certain rules such as a minimum stay of 5 nights. For a room, for example, two nights are free. It would be good if certain positions (management) could still make bookings and override these rule

  2. We would like to be able to change the optimize space allocation function in Timeline so that you can assign it as a Permission under roles.
    So not everyone has rights to use this feature.

  3. Hello, we would like to have the feature of automatic logout/lock session after employee inactivity. For example, if there is no interaction on the screen for 60 seconds, the “lock session” should be automatically enforced for the employee.

  5. When making a user profile it would be nice to have an end of employment date or something similar that allows to account to freeze or pause when an employee is not working at the property anymore. This would be a safeguard for responsible user management. This combined with a reminder in advance for users who have user management configured that a user has to be deleted or his/her access has to be extended soon.

  6. Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.

    But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

  7. In Spain, where I reside, it is mandatory by law for an invoice to include a passport or ID to be valid. Currently, when a customer enters their passport information into the reservation system, it does not automatically populate on the invoice. This requires manual entry for each reservation, which is time-consuming and prone to errors with all the companies that at least work in Spain.

    Suggested Solution:

    It would be very helpful to have an automatic transfer of the passport information from the reservation system to the invoice field.

  8. Allow the full user edit screen for admins when editing another user like when your editing your own profile / account.

    We add the users to mews and would include 2FA and profile picture so new users have a fully set up account. Right now these options are not available for admins (we have a specific hardware for 2FA and dont want employees to use their private mobile phones for 2FA for security reasons).

    Also it would be great to have an option to specify what users can change by itself similar to the enforce 2FA. Good behaviour would be…

  9. Restrict some users from being able to delete products within the reservation or billing. Either an approval code from a manager could be entered to allow them to delete it, or the manager themselves who has the permission deletes the product themselves

  11. As one of the individual permissions, give the option to restrict exporting reports. With the current phishing attempts it is very important to limit who can export reservations reports.

  12. I have been attempting to limit the access front of office employees have to financial data or payment information which is both sensitive to the business and confidential. MEWS have informed me there is no way in preventing any employee who has access to changing housekeeping status to also view the financials of the business.

    Please could I have some help or if anyone else is finding this as an issue. While creating different roles and users I tested this ability to view all financial information. Therefore, any user with housekeeping privilages can view any information within ‘Finance’ on the…

  13. We have collaborators who have left the company, and we haven't been able to revoke their permissions. As a policy, we don't delete user accounts but rather remove their permissions. However, we've encountered cases where we can't do this because they have scheduled automatic reports, and as administrators, we can't view or remove them.

  14. Now it's a choice to use 2FA, but since the increase of cybercrime it should be mandatory to have it switched on.
    I can't select it in the user profile to have it mandatory, this would add a crucial extra in the fight against cybercrime.

  16. On my team, we have a lot of people that "wear many hats" As an example, we have 6 people on the guest services team. 2 of those 6 are concierge as well and will be the ones assigned to follow up with a guest when they request recommendations.

  18. We are working with Assa Abloy integrations and have self kiosk in some hotels. We experience on occasion a situation where we want to track how the key was created for the guest, but find that there is no method of actually tracing back (other then timestamp, and then use cctv) who has made the keycard and where.

    Basically, the request is, add 'who' made the key cards in the action log.

  19. Currently a user with only "Perform Housekeeping" rights can see a lot of financial reports!
    I don't imagine the cleaning staff at Mews Headquarters are allowed to see the daily revenue, so why should they (or 3rd party cleaning contractors) have access to our hotel financial data?

    • Posting Journal: Can be seen and has financial information about the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly revenue!

    • Payment Report: can be seen, has financial information. It can even see the cash going into the Cashier!

    • Accounting Ledger: can be seen and has financial information.

    • Bills and Invoices: Every invoice (anonymous) and its consumptions can be seen together…

  20. The onboarding manager should stick with the project for 6month to a year and not 5 days after going live. We are a new hotel and did not have reservation prior to going live. now that we are live several questions arise and there is no direct number to contact. I have read the help articles but still do not get a clear answer from them. I have submitted the question through contact us and still have not gotten answers. If there is a number to call direct when it is an urgent need that would be more helpful.
