  1. For guest communication it would be helpful to have a field exposed to Connector API with the information whether or not a confirmation email has been sent for the reservation. Same is true for pre-Stay, On-Prem, etc.

  2. It is helpful to have a separate webhook event for ServiceOrderCreated (Additionally to ServiceOrderUpdated) to discriminate new from changed reservations. Similar to Customer, where both events have a separate webhook.

    Sometimes we receive a ton of information about the guest or the reservation via reservation notes from OTAs / TAs that are not structured and thus currently cannot be used to enhance the guest profile or reservation with structured data. LLM-AI analysis could potentiall understand the notes and make filter usable information and turn it into structured data.
    Example:
    Guest preferences: often times "high floor" "bath tub" "balcony" "quite room" "away from elevators" etc. are added to the reservation notes. matching those to the guest preferences available in profiles and space features before assigning a room would allow the…

  11. We would like to propose more specialised Webhooks.

    Not every change to the reservation, for example, is needed for every use case. Instead, only changes to specific fields are interesting for (for example the status).

  12. Ich fände es gut, wenn die Schnittstelle zu DIRS21 dahingehend erweitert würde, dass die Gastnamen und Geburtstage, die in der Buchung bereits eingetragen wurden, auch in Mews eingespielt werden. Ich bekomme derzeit nur die Angaben des Buchers.
    Außerdem wäre es hilfreich, wenn die Rechnungsadresse, falls abweichend, die ebenfalls über DIRS abgefragt wird, auch in Mews ankommt, z.B. als Firma mit Zuordnung zum Gast.
    Wenn ich die Daten nicht schnell genug selbst in Mews eintrage und der Gast den Online-Check-in durchführt, füllt er ggf. die gleichen Daten nochmal aus. Das ist unglücklich und nicht gewollt.

  13. The Identity Documents APIs would become much more useful to us if we could attach file(s) to them as well. For example, photos/scanned copies of the original document.

    Separate permissions for adding vs viewing any attached files would also help safeguard them by restricting who is able to download them after being attached. This is because they wouldn't often need to be viewed again once uploaded, but do need to be available for some period of time (not indefinitely).

  14. We would like to give the guest possibility to book a table in Mews Booking Engine - and it should be possible to book a table in Guest Portal - we are using integration ResDiary. Their answer:

    As this integration was developed and is managed by Mews, they are best to check with them if there are any planned improvements and any requests to their team for consideration.

  17. Mews should accurately allocate the price across different age categories. For instance, if a reservation includes products with child pricing, Mews should distribute the total cost based on child pricing and not just equally. For example, if the total price is 67.5 and the reservation has 2 adults and 1 child, the distribution should be 27 (adult price) multiplied by 2 (adults) and 13.5 (child price) multiplied by 1 (child).

  18. Add "Voucher Redemption" as payment type for the payments/addExternal request. This allows external voucher tools (e.g. Incert) to specify the payment type when adding a voucher to a customer's bill as payment.

  20. Extend the Customers/getAll API so that customers can be searched by their phone number. This enables telephony integration. When a customer calls in it will be possible to display their name on the phone display and/or in the PBX web interface.
