Titles: Incorrect translation of Ms to Miss
At the moment, in the front end, it is possible to use titles Mr, Mrs and Ms. In the API, this then becomes Mister, Misses, Miss.
There is a difference between Ms and Miss and someone who is a Ms is not necessarily a Miss. There should be a way to indicate that a female guest does not want to share their marital status - by at least introducing two different titles for Miss and Ms in both Front End and API, but better still by updating the titels altogether to reflect modern age.5 votesHello from the Mews product team. Be able to add more options on the regstration card (specially during the corona crises)
example: how did you travel to the Netherlands? Do you have any coronavirus symptoms? What if the motive of your visit (with options): 1. Business 2. Staycation 3. Leisure etc

Add new customer with ID card
It would be much quicker if a new customer can be added with an ID card when the guest is at the reception to check in. In that case the details wouldn't have to be filled in manually.
Besides that, I don't know if it's our scanner or the Mews software, but it does some strange things with the cards sometimes. Making men women, reading expiration dates as a date in the past (1930-2030), not reading numbers, changing nationality, sticking first names together... Quite annoying and confusing for our accountant.1 voteHello from the Mews product team.

Stateless Option in Nationality List
Hi there,
I would like to suggest Mews add the "Stateless" Option in the Nationality list in order to be inclusive in case a guest is actually a Stateless person, to adequately communicate the guest data to the Police and to have more accurate data for our internal analysis

in order to provide proof for the date of digital signature of the registration card we need the creation date of the digital registration card available in Mews PMS.

create custom fields for customer / guest profiles
It would be great if you could add custom fields to a customer profile to save specific information.
We would need that for example to save information regarding our data privacy policy.

Blacklist a guest profile from an automatic booking
When we receive a booking from our PMS, a new profile is automatically created. However if we had already blacklisted a profile with the same name, we must think about merging both profile. The idea would be if there is at least one common information (email adress, phone number, CC details), Mews should send us a notification to check if this is the same guest or not, and then we decide to blackist or not with a link available in the email notification.

Notes should be on the status tab. some where easily visisble so that agents dont miss important details. Notes should also pop up when you open the reservation and the agent can dismiss the note once its read.

Faster passport scanning FASTER check-in!
Recently Mews released the "MewsPassportScan" the feature is great! but we feel like its incomplete, if you have used it before, you will agree.
The feature allows you to scan the guests passport with the webcam of the computer, this then populates the passport fields with one click making the process way smoother, HOWEVER!!!!
If you have more than one attendant on a booking this feature flaws massively, as you have to create individual user profiles for the additional guests ONE BY ONE!
This means that from 1 click one guest, it turns in to 8 clicks per guest profile.…18 votesHello from the Mews product team. Add option of consent for receiving Marketing e-mails (GDPR reasons)
It would help a lot if we would have a tick box next to guest's e-mail address in Guest Profile where guests can give their consent or not in receiving Marketing e-mails. We need this feature for GDPR reasons.

Profile Status Tagging
It will be very helpful if there is an additional function in MEWS that allows us to tag guest profile according to its status such as VIP Status. Flexible status will be good rather than a fixed status like the ones under Clasification. We have many different types of VIP Status so this function will be helpful.

Confirmation email sending to all guests if no master name selected
We have groups that stay that there is no one owner (as it has been booked by someone else) however we need each individual to register, the system does not send the email automatically as there is no main contact, having a tick option to send to individuals on the profile as preregistration/billing.

Merge Profiles with identical passport/id number
Merging profile with email is fine.

allow same e-mail address for several contacts within same company
When there are several contacts in a company that use the same e-mail address, this should be possible. Now you can only use contact per e-mail.

country codes
Please use ISO country codes. There are countries with code GB, and reports, bills, customer profile following comes out: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
It occupies 3 lines on an invoice; each report pulled in excel has a wide gap to type the whole country name.

A region as well as a nationality tab
With Covid restrictions we know all our arriving guests are New Zealand nationals, we would like an option to add a region so we can see better where our guests are travelling from, this would help us to run targeted ad campaigns and up our guest numbers

Check for existing customer profile
When entering companions, new and existing customers should be able to be entered in the same field. The first field should search for existing profile and offer the option "News costumer" (as it works well in the main search field).
