  1. In case the cleaning service is outsourced, the current configuration of MEWS gives certain problems, even configuring the users with only housekeeping permissions:

    In App Commander:
    - It does not allow the external cleaning manager to assign spaces to his employees
    - You can access all kinds of information about the tasks, not just those of the cleaning department

    On Web Commander:
    - It allows you to see information about guest reservations (name, price, commissions...)

    It would be very useful to solve these issues so that it is really a useful application that can be used in case the service…

  2. First of all, the app works great for us. But please make it possible to set a default on own preferences. As an example. We would like to see the tasks always on date type: 'deadline'. But the app shows it standard on 'created'.

  3. We currently find the process in Mews Operations of assigning cleaners to rooms very clunky... and possibly the worst feature of Mews. Here are some suggestions for improving this process:

    1. Show employee name or incorporate a drop down menu for assignee selection. Currently you have to type in a few letters of the employee's name and then it shows only an email address, so you can't be sure it's the right employee unless you are a genius and know everyone's email address. Surely this is a simple one to solve?

  4. It would be great to have a "Guest Outside" status for rooms of stay over guests, so Housekeeping knows the room is ready for cleaning.

  5. Customers can choose to join the save the planet program, and therefor have no housekeeping services during their stay. We made this a product so customers can book the Save The planet program online. or front office can add it to a reservation. This product needs to be visible in the commander app. And if possible Housekeeping should be able to add the product during customers stay.

  6. It would be great to have events shown on timeline to also reflect in the housekeeping app so that housekeeping staff are aware of events so they can set rooms up accordingly.

  7. To improve the speed of room assignment by housekeeper, it would be good to have the ability to drag and drop specific rooms under each housekeeper on a daily basis similar to what we do with Timeline. You could quickly see which rooms are unassigned and drag the room under each housekeeper to complete their board for the day. If room credits are used, each room that is dragged under a housekeeper deducts from the total credits assigned for the day.

  8. Currently, you are not able to put the Space out of order form the Mews Housekeeping App. You are able to change the status from Dirty to Clean to Inspected to Out of Service but not Out of Order. We would like the ability to put rooms Out of Order with a reason from the Housekeeping App.

  9. It would be helpful to assign Housekeeping from a single space status screen versus room assignment screen. The drop down could show all available housekeeping and you could assign one or two directly onto this screen. Today, you have to use the assignment tool with has filters and is a bit awkward as you need to filter than assign a housekeeper then rooms. When you select and second housekeeper the same rooms show up as the first and you have to remember you have assigned them. Also, for some hotels, stayovers are assigned 20 minutes and full cleans are assigned…

  11. Within some states in the US, there is a maximum number of square feet (or metre) that an individual can clean during their shift. To help ensure that this limit is not being exceeded, it would help to have the measurements of the room listed within the Housekeeping part of Mews.

  12. We have rooms that need more time to be cleaned, which is why we have to block them for the night after the guests check out. It would be great if the system could do that automatically as soon as those rooms have been booked. As for now, we need to block the rooms manually everytime it is booked...

  14. I would be helpful, if the housekeeping could see stay products which could for example be a fruit basket or pralines in the room.
    We have some rates for Specials that require a certain preparation from the housekeeping. Therefore it would be helpful, if the houseekeeping team could see the products and rates in their app.

  15. When you move a reserveration from one room to another, both rooms become dirty. Is it possible to add an option in stay for the new room (which is inspected)
    to stay inspected.

    That the room that the guest has moved to stays inspected. The prior rooms can stay dirty just the new room keeps it status. As after midnight inspected rooms become clean then dirty after housekeeping intervall. This way we can keep track of linen change and don't have to manually change it after every move.

    Just have as an option if other hotels don't use the system…

  16. I would like to be able to prioritise which spaces need to be cleaned first when assigning spaces to my employees.

    Please may you add the filters for example dirty departed and departing in space assignment form.
