  1. If there are multiple public rates within the same rate group, MEWS will only display the cheapest option in the booking engine.

    This causes issues for us for example when publishing our Christmas packages. They would both fall under the same rate group (PKG - Package incl. breakfast in this example), but since one package includes dinner and the other one a *****, only the cheaper ***** package will be shown to our guests.

    Now we worked our way around it by creating an additional rate group for the dinner package, however this is causing us to create…

  2. The customer want to be able to apply different value on Extra occupancy adjustment and age category on different period
    . Example, the child and teen are not the same value on high and low season.

  4. At the time, I can only create a restriction for one rate or rate group at a time. I would have to create multiple restrictions to cove two rate codes. For example, I would like to create a 2-night minimum for my Airbnb rate (Travel Agent Group) & all my rates that flow off the best flex rate. So I have to create 2 different restrictions and keep up with changing both when I make changes.

  5. MEWS currently does not support allotment.
    For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. The alternative is to enter bookings as optional with release dates…

    In this video, I am excited to introduce you to the next chapter of Group Management in Mews with Allotments.


    Allotments is a combination of multiple features that allow for better contract management with travel agencies and corporate groups. I will highlight key elements, such as multiple release rules and pick-up distribution, which provide more flexibility and automation.

  6. It would be nice to be able to promote specific products to specific rate groups segments or even more direct to specific rates and even better to be able to enable function for specific periods only.
    Example:
    - Offering Full day SPA access to OTA guest as an promotion in low season

  7. Would it be interesting if it was possible to discount of a rate depending on length of stay ?
    So for example:-
    - Stay 2 or more nights and save 10 %
    - Stay 3 or more nights and save 20 %
    - Stay 5 or more nights and save 25 %
    - Stay 7 or more nights and save 30 %

    This set-up will allow properties to create promotions that are a bit more dynamic

A tick box on space types when setting los restrictions, at the minute you have to do every date individually, along with every space, so if you have 17 space types, and want a los on Saturday nights, you have to set the restriction 17 times for 1 day, 884 restrictions just for Saturdays, would be much easier if you could select the space via a tick box, at the minute if you do a generic restriction, you cant undo just one space.
    This could also be applied to rate codes.

When we create a new rate in the Channel Manager, it would be best practice if we could only send that rate to the channel manager and not all the rates that we have in the channel manager as how is today. Of cause, we need to have a "full property push" available, but the option to push just the newly created rate would be the best in a day-to-day basis. Then the data that we send out is going to be much less.

  12. Segments are attached to rate codes in the settings of Mews. The segment attached to a rate code should always be attached to reservations with that rate code. Currently when users change the rate code of a reservation it retains the original segment. Additionally, users should not be able to change a segment on a reservation as this should be locked to the rate code.

  13. When you try to delete a rate, it can be very frustrating to have to find out it is linked to your channel manager / has restrictions / linked to another rate / has a voucher....
    why not allow you tick boxes to do this whilst you are in the rate you want to delete?
    it took me about 5 minutes for something that should be able to be done in 30 seconds!

  14. In order to check if restrictions are still valid / necessary, the occupancy (overall and per room type) should be displayed in the restrictions calendar (as in rate management). This is very important to check if MLOS and close restrictions are still valid.

  16. extra bed in item to be added automatically when the room is booked for 3.
    Although we put in rate and room description that for the 3rd guest, extra £25 will be added for the extra bed, any prepaid rate plans debit the guest for the whole stay excluding the extra bed £25 per night. As a result, some guests refuse to pay the extra amount after having been debited.

  17. Currently having a MLOS exception and maximum advance exception for close to stay restriction does not work.

    An example would be having a close to stay restriction for the Saturdays, except if they book 2 nights, OR if they book within 7 days before arrival (maximum advance).

    So what I want is a MLOS2 restriction for the Saturdays, but when it is 7 days before arrival, no restriction at all.

    It is probably a setup with an AND/OR rule.

  18. We would love to be able to create discounted rates without the need to create a new rate manually.

    The idea is that when you create a voucher, you can set a certain discount (ie. 20%) and select the rates on which it applies. With this a a lot of work can be avoided.
