LTS Integration - Alto Adige Region, Italy
All properties in the Alto Adige region have to report to the Landesverband der Tourismusorganisationen Südtirols (LTS) extranet. The following information must be reported per reservation or even per guest and it takes a lot of time to manually enter. Clients in this region would prefer automatic reporting.

VAT drop for longstay guests (28+ days)
in the UK the VAT drops from 20% to 4% from the 29th night.. which is currently happening in Mews however the total amount doesn’t change just the internal split changes. So properties are not able to pass the benefit of the reduced tax to guests which ideally they should do or at least would like to do.

Clear breakdown of the total cost with VAT and all City taxes clearly displayed at some point through the booking journey.
In order to successfully use Google META Search, the VAT and all city taxes should be displayed at some point during the booking process in the booking engine. This is a requirement from Google when you want to use META Search: https://support.google.com/hotelprices/answer/6064432?hl=en
If you don't have this, your website might be penalized, because the hotel is not allowed to show in the top positions in META.

Tourist tax
It would be interesting to be able to enter the tourist tax with a unit or relative amount for adults, and to have the possibility of setting exemption categories such as: "children under the age of 12, invaled, police, etc.". also have the possibility to insert a period of applicability for seasonal hotels (Sea, Mountain).

City taxes for children
City taxes amount is different between adults and children, and among children based on their age.
Would be useful to create a rule that recognises the different kind of partecipants and their age among children, showing, then, the different amounts due111 votes -
rates including city tax
In some cases rates are offered/contracted including city tax. It would be nice if reservations department can select a rate with city tax already included instead of having to calculate and deduct the city tax (which in our case is dependent on the number of guests and booked meals) from the rate first.

Stay tax
Must be splited on three different levels and presented to the guest with split details. Paris for instance :
"Town" tax : 5% per night
"Departemental" tax : +10%
"Local" tax : +15%Stay tax must be automatically deducted for under 18 years old

Base automatic product rules and settlements not only on Rate Groups
Would be great to base automatization not only on the rate groups. For example city tax can not be excluded from booking.com collect reservations, but are from booking.com hotel collect ones. This way it would be possible to create different rules for them.

City Tax as part of LE
City tax is very complicated and often includes several conditions and limitations that are specific to each legal environment. Currently, each property must be careful to apply this city tax according to their own legal requirements, however integrating this knowledge into each Legal Environment within Mews could help simplify many processes, as tax would be automatically applied or deducted where necessary.
