    Total amount taken by Stripe

    Combine the Payments and Settlement Reports so that we can see this information in one: Created date (day payments were taken), Total amount taken by merchant [Stripe], Total commission fees, Amount Settled, Date Settled.

    Clicking on the Payments for a particular day should go through to the list of payments.

  4. At times we have reservations from where at the moment of booking the credit card is valid, however it expires prior of their arrival.
    We cannot accept reservations with an expired credit card since we then cannot collect payment. For security reasons we also do not prefer to take cc over the phone or by email. Is there is a way that the guest can get a notification that when they book their stay with us, the credit card will expire prior of arrival and to use a different card.

  5. When we collect a payment on the payment screen you have an option to add a note, we use this to note down the transaction details room number and the name of the receptionist. sometimes you can make a mistake and put the wrong room number for example, what we would like will be the function to edit that note so when a mistake is made it can be amended.

    This information is later used for generating reports and informing the staff during shift changes.

  6. View the kind of creditcards (Amex, Mastercard, Visa) on the payout report from the Merchant Balance. And show the total for the costs. So you can check this payout better

  7. When a guest enters new credit card details (for example because we couldn't charge their credit card and asked them to provide another one), it would be helpful if MEWS gave us a notification. We now manually have to check if new details were entered.

  8. The button is to attempting and it happends a lot that staff uses this button to early. No corrections can't be made on the same bill anymore. Please make it possible to chose if you want to use this button or not.

  10. For offline or online reservations, with balanced bill due to another payment method than CC, the trigger should not try to charge the CC given by the guest.

  11. The payment term of stripe is too long, Elavon offers a service of a better quality for cheaper also concerning the bank charges by card. The duration of funds transfer is between one day to two days. Stripe is between 3 days and 7 days of delay. In addition, credit card customer data is not secure at the same level at stripe (Cayman Islands).

    We should have the choice to choose another provider following our place of activity. Currently stripe is the only possible option and the service is not up to the expectations of MEWS customers.

    Thank you for your feedback! It is unlikely that we will be working towards integrating this payment flow in the nearest future, we would like to solve your biggest problems and this was on our nice-to-have list, therefore it was not prioritized for the upcoming tertile.

  14. Why virtual credit cards are charged 100% in advance, even if they are free cancellation.

    It should charge only 1st night as with the others CC, depending on the settlement rules.

  15. We are an Accor establishment, and we are working with OGONE, but we do not have any type of payment for this matter. Is it possible to add OGONE VISA, OGONE MASTERCARD and OGONE AMEX for future payments ? Thank youuuu

  17. People are using the same credit card for different profiles (fraudulent bookings). We want to blacklist a credit card.

    We’re delighted to share the news that now you can configure Mews to let guests pay with iDEAL!

    To learn more and get started with iDEAL check out this guide – https://help.mews.com/en/articles/5179046-enable-ideal-as-an-alternative-payment-method.

    Once the above is done, your guests will see iDEAL as a payment method in the booking engine, payment requests & online check-out. You can take advantage of convenient, automated payment processing with a real-time overview and central reconciliation.
