  1. the mews does not allow us to get discover card or jcb card while making the reservation but it does gives you the option to find the reservation which had made payment using the discover card or the jcb card?
    i mean how and why this makes the procedure more slow and sometimes guest they need to run to get cash.

    Thanks for creating this idea!

    We have enabled Discover and JCB for terminal payments, moreover, we have enabled same payment methods for the US market. Due to the limitation of our current payment providers (Stripe), we cannot enable the above-mentioned payment methods in the EU but on the other side, we have recorded your request to our partners and your AM will reach out to you for any further update.

  2. At times we have reservations from where at the moment of booking the credit card is valid, however it expires prior of their arrival.
    We cannot accept reservations with an expired credit card since we then cannot collect payment. For security reasons we also do not prefer to take cc over the phone or by email. Is there is a way that the guest can get a notification that when they book their stay with us, the credit card will expire prior of arrival and to use a different card.

  4. WE HAVE LOST 3 GUEST THEY DID NOT HAD ANY OTHER CARD THAN THE DISCOVER TO PAY FOR THE ROOM...

    THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW US TO USED FEW TYPES OF CARD AND WHEN I HAD A WORD WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE THEY TOLD ME TO ODER AN TERMINAL THAT WILL HELP TO ADD THOSE CARD!!!

    SERIOUSLY TO ENTER CARD DETAIL WHICH DOESN'T ACCEPT THE MANUAL ENTRY THEY WILL BE ACCEPTED MY TERMINAL....

    IT SHOULD THEN COME IN A PACKAGE WHERE YOU RENT THE SYSTEM AND THE TERMINAL...

    Apologies for causing any confusion, but as I see you’re US-based account, we do accept JCB, Diners, Discover Club, China Union Pay both online and offline (terminal). Please reach out to your Account Manager and he/she will review your contract and will take a look at what needs to be setup on our side, so you can start accepting mentioned card brands.   6. Could the failed to charge a card task link directly back to booking to mark the card as invalid - similar to the way that availpro do it with their payment gateway

  7. View the kind of creditcards (Amex, Mastercard, Visa) on the payout report from the Merchant Balance. And show the total for the costs. So you can check this payout better

  8. It would be so much easier to pull the Merchant payout report if the customers name and surname was linked to it. At the moment i have to pull the payment report and reconcile it with the merchant payout report. It takes up a lot of my time

  9. Add a section to specify third party name on the card used for payment. Having several cards registered to the guest makes it quite difficult to know which company is paying for the stay. Many thanks.

  10. The payment term of stripe is too long, Elavon offers a service of a better quality for cheaper also concerning the bank charges by card. The duration of funds transfer is between one day to two days. Stripe is between 3 days and 7 days of delay. In addition, credit card customer data is not secure at the same level at stripe (Cayman Islands).

    We should have the choice to choose another provider following our place of activity. Currently stripe is the only possible option and the service is not up to the expectations of MEWS customers.

  12. When we collect a payment on the payment screen you have an option to add a note, we use this to note down the transaction details room number and the name of the receptionist. sometimes you can make a mistake and put the wrong room number for example, what we would like will be the function to edit that note so when a mistake is made it can be amended.

    This information is later used for generating reports and informing the staff during shift changes.

  15. For offline or online reservations, with balanced bill due to another payment method than CC, the trigger should not try to charge the CC given by the guest.

    Thank you for your feedback! It is unlikely that we will be working towards integrating this payment flow in the nearest future, we would like to solve your biggest problems and this was on our nice-to-have list, therefore it was not prioritized for the upcoming tertile.

  17. We are an Accor establishment, and we are working with OGONE, but we do not have any type of payment for this matter. Is it possible to add OGONE VISA, OGONE MASTERCARD and OGONE AMEX for future payments ? Thank youuuu

  20. With implementing automatic preauthorizations, there are many more opportunities to automate other payment processes. Within the Guests in house report, properties can check for customers that may still have an outstanding balance. Using this information, we can automatically create preauthorizations for any guests that have an open balance posted to their account. The preauthorizations can be created for a larger amount in case of additional expenses, however, please note that this feature would exclude customers that have a balance due to a future stay, as it would not be necessary for those guests.
