  1. For example the guest has an open bill from a previous stay and could not be charged via merchant, so we want to make sure that this specific guest won't be able to do the check in via Operator and will be forced to check in at the reception.

  3. When a guest check in already only he still needs to sign again when using the Kiosk Check in at the property. If the guest already signed during online check in he should not be forced to sign again at the property.

  4. Kiosk Check-In.

    If something happens during the guest's stay and we have to get in touch with our colleague who checked the guest in, it would be much easier if we have the option to choose the name of the employee who is checking in the guest.
    At this current state, when you check someone in via kiosk, the action log will say that "Mews Operator (Mews Kiosk)" has checked the guest in and not the name of the person!

  5. The calendar in the kiosk for the expiration date, birthdate, etc. is very illogical. It would be better if guests are able to write the date themselves, or make it a 3-part process (think apple) with the year date, and month separate.
    The process to click the year first (tiny module top right) and then find the month and then the date is very confusing and unintuitive.

  6. We are a hotel without a reception in house. Because we don't have any upselling during guest stays, we don't need any manual check out button at our kiosk. People are confused about check out button. Our guest only need to leave the apartment at a certain time and put the room card into a transparent box at the exit.   7. I would like to customize the check-out message on the kiosk.

  11. Update Timing Kiosk App: it would be very helpful to have a way of being able to determine the period in which the kiosk app receives its update? Since we have been using the app, it has repeatedly happened that the app receives an update just when guests have arrived and are waiting to be checked in. The update takes time which the guests do not have. So maybe it would be an idea to design it so that we as users of the app can decide when to download the current update - after we have received a message…

The software in Mews that reads ID data works much better than the one that does the same work in the kiosk app. In the kiosk app you have to enter some of the data manually, which is not necessary when scanning ID in Mews. The only problem with scanning the ID in Mews is that the system cannot find the camera it needs right away.

  14. If the reservation is for 10 people, once they enter the passport information af all the adults, they can create 10 keys for the apartment. We would like you to introduce an option in Mews where the hotel manager could limit the number of keys that the client can cut at the kiosk.

  16. Many properties have chosen not to implement key encoders as part of their operations. However, as Mews Operator was created with the intention of complete self-service, key encoder details were required as part of the configuration. Now, Mews Operator no longer requires this as part of setup, meaning that any property can now implement Operator kiosks, with or without key encoders.

  17. Language depending on nationality, with the option for a manual override.
    if the nationality is set for a spain, language should change to spanish. The kiosk is guest forward. default language can be set, but a more individual approach would be good

  20. We use the passport scanner / ID scanner when we check our guests in at our hotel, it makes the check-in process so much easier for us and the guests. When we started using the scanner, the German ID cards worked the best, but now they don't work at all and the scanner just keeps loading.
    Please fix this soon.
