  1. Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.

    But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

  2. Now it's a choice to use 2FA, but since the increase of cybercrime it should be mandatory to have it switched on.
    I can't select it in the user profile to have it mandatory, this would add a crucial extra in the fight against cybercrime.

  4. We are working with Assa Abloy integrations and have self kiosk in some hotels. We experience on occasion a situation where we want to track how the key was created for the guest, but find that there is no method of actually tracing back (other then timestamp, and then use cctv) who has made the keycard and where.

    Basically, the request is, add 'who' made the key cards in the action log.

  5. On my team, we have a lot of people that "wear many hats" As an example, we have 6 people on the guest services team. 2 of those 6 are concierge as well and will be the ones assigned to follow up with a guest when they request recommendations.

    Instead of assigning a task generally to the whole Guest Services team and wait for these two specific people to address the task, I would like to be able to assign people multiple roles so that those two people can be Guest Services and Concierge. This is just an example, at…

  6. Small one, but can we remove the deleted products from all product reports, this would make it easier for our operations team to pull reports and schedule them.

    Really it's about giving our teams the cleanest data possible, I know they can select or deselect the products – we have a lot of products that were created whilst we were setting up the property, that we really don't need.. and whilst they are deleted – they show up in this report.
    As there aren't any other key filters (eg Product Group) it's just messy and difficult for the operational team…

  10. The onboarding manager should stick with the project for 6month to a year and not 5 days after going live. We are a new hotel and did not have reservation prior to going live. now that we are live several questions arise and there is no direct number to contact. I have read the help articles but still do not get a clear answer from them. I have submitted the question through contact us and still have not gotten answers. If there is a number to call direct when it is an urgent need that would be more helpful.

  14. Chain hotels that manage (Group-) or individual reservations for 95% from headquarters level want to restrict individual hotels to make any changes on the reservation. Especially, when the majority of guests are corporate travellers whereby the booking has been made by the company booker. There is an agreement between Chain and Company HQ, whereby the individual hotels are not allowed to make any changes on the reservation.

    Restricting employees to only view the reservation details, but are still able to check-in/out and handle the billing of the guestprofile would resolve this.

    Hi there Mewsers!

    You’ve asked and we’ve listened.

    We upgraded the action log to make it more detailed and easier to use.

    Below are some of the additional details that we’ve added.

    Before, when a reservation moved to a different room, you couldn’t see which room it was in originally—now you’ll always see exactly how the reservation looked before and after each change.

    We’ve enhanced updates for products. You’ll now be able trace for example, the additions of order items as well as the price adjustments made to your products.

    And finally on the pricing side, no need for a calculator! You can now monitor and report on changes to prices with the both net and gross values, as well as the affects the changes you’ve made have on taxes.

    We will continue working on updates to the action log for different sections of the system. Stay tuned for more!

  17. Since Mews is a cloud solution and therefore accessible from anywhere, it is important that users are careful to log out once they are no longer using the platform. To help increase security measures, a feature could be implemented to automatically log out Mewsers who have been inactive for a certain period of time. After this predetermined interval, users would then have to reenter their user details to access Mews again.
