Extending an in house booking - Mews changes room allocation
When dealing with a booking extension ( checked-in) Mews automatically changes the room allocation to a new vacant room. This does not make any sense as the guest is already in house, and Mews should not be able to change by itself an In-house reservation. This is leading into a lot of check-ins into occupied rooms and therefore, guest complaints.

cxl fee for 1 night maximum it should take the products just for one night not for all the nights

Split Occupancy/Availability report by Midweek (Mon-Thurs) and Weekend (Fri-Sun)
It would make life a lot easier when it comes to rate management if we could split weeks into Midweek/Weekend. This would allow for better rate manipulation.
It would also let us report how we are performing by Midweek/Weekend rather than us having to manually calculate it all (which takes a very long time when you are looking at the next three months). This sort of data lets us look at which breaks are more popular at which time of year etc.

Collapsible menus in the Paymaster Billing menu
Hello!
I work in the reception of a hotel where we have a lobby shop. When we go to billing on the paymaster account the list of products we can add is rather long, with the number of items we have.
Therefore I request the feature to collapse categories within the product list so that it is easier to find certain items/products in our list that we wish to add to the bill.
The collapse menu function could also be added to any menu where there are categorized lists for easier navigation when lists become long.

Make beds collapsible under parent rooms in Space Configuration
Rather than having a long list all spaces, by making beds collapsible under their parent room, it will improve the user experience having a short list to scan through when making alterations.

Add staff schedule/rota in a calendar/timeline format
Add a timeline/calendar where each department could log their rota to facilitate communication between teams and easily visualise who is working in each department at any given time.

Cancellation Fee
Hello Dear Carl,
In this case the reservation, despite being of an NRF rate, was not cancelled but suffered a change of dates, so the cancellation fee would only be the difference between the value of the new reservation and the value of the initial reservation.
New dates: 527€
Initial dates: 460€
Cancellation fee: 67€is there any possibility of programming this NRF condition when there is a change of dates so that the cancellation fee is only the difference, but at the minimum of the initial dates, in this case it would be the minimum of 460€.

Legionella prevention function in Mews does not work well
Mews has a legionella prevention function. It automatically puts vacant rooms into dirty status after 7 days of being vacant. However, our Housekeeping and Maintenance system have a likewise function, which is way more operatable. Because I can adjust settings: I can choose the amount of days, type of notifications and to whom, etc. And, it belongs to those departments that do the legionella prevention. Mews just puts the rooms on dirty status and I have to go all the way into the history log of each individual dirty room to find out why it was put dirty; there's no…

Accounting ledger with "negative / positive" filter
Our accounting ledger, with the hostel closing and a lot of cancellations, is overloaded with negative outstanding amounts.
We have seen with the MEWS team that as soon as we have a cancellation, the late cancellation turnover is posted automatically without us being able to do anything.
In this case, is it possible to ensure that the negative and positive outstandings are filtered out?

Daily Reports by segments
One daily report pick up that shows occupancy, adr and revenue by segment, with dates ranges at past and future. for example, the create date, from the 1st of january to 31st of december

Display the name of the rate on billing
In order to facilitate the check out and payment, it would be easier if the Rate name was displayed next to the amount. This way the Receptionist can easily state what type of stay occurred and apply his SOPs accordingly.

Issue invoice based on company profiles
It would be essential to bill and follow debtors invoices based on company profiles.
Actually we can invoice a company but the invoice stay on client profile, for debtors management it would be easier that the invoice appears on company profile. new layout
The new layout with boxes and not lines to write on is very disturbing for the eye. Mostly when checking the customer profile, but in general too. Please bring back the simple line. More elegant AND non the less way more eye-friendly!

Passport scanner improvements
As most European Drivers Licencies are valid Identify documents, it would be helpful to first of all be able to scan them directly to MEWS and secondly that they count similarly to the Customer Profile statistics as a passport.
Second, the scanner does not recognise an expiry date in 2030 (and later) for Swiss ID cards, but always saves 1930 as expiry date.
Third, how come the passport scanner does not save the issue date?

Is it possible to integrate the assigned space in the task overview space
If i am making a task i always have to manually add a assigned space in the task because now only the reservation name and period is visable (to avoid going back to the reservation and start the task all over again)

Summarize invoices with multiple guest profiles by guest profile.
With group reservations or reservations with more than one guest profile the invoice turns out very chaotic i.e.:

Set a Minimum advance reservation restriction for online bookings
I would like to set a "Minimum advance reservation" restriction 4 hours before midnight (8 pm). Then customers cannot reserve online after 8 pm for reservations on that day of arrival. Our reception closes at 9 pm. This way our reception has at least 1 hour to help guests with information (digital keys, night safe) for a late arrival.

Link tasks to arrival / departure date
Task linked to arrival / departure date - ensure you are able to link a task to a specific event in the reservation like the departure date; meaning that if the departure date changes, so thus the task. Ideally, you should also be able to set a plus or minus days for this link (i.e. check one day prior to departure if guest has returned the DVD player)

Make it clear when an invoice has been sent to customer
At the moment, it can be hard to tell if an invoice has been emailed to the client or not. can the email button be turned red or something to show if the email has been sent.
