Review of Mews Search starting and in exploration phase
An error occurred while saving the comment Horeca Webservice commentedYes please! To add to this, on the hotel website we have descriptions of each room type with a [Book now] button. When you click on such button, we want to open the booking engine with that room type / package preselected.
Although it's possible to do that with a deeplink (not the widget), it does it with default stay dates, and you can only change them by going back to the first step.
When you then continue, the preselected room type is lost and the guest has to choose again. Have a look how the Cubilis, Smarthotel, SiteMinder and Hoteliers booking engines do this!

An error occurred while saving the comment Horeca Webservice commentedYes please! I have tried using a deeplink, but that doesn't work correctly.
So on the hotel website we have descriptions of each package and each of them has a [Book now] button. We want to open the booking engine with that package preselected. That page needs to have the package details and an availability calendar where the guest can enter their stay dates and select the room type they want (similar to what the Cubilis, Smarthotel, SiteMinder and Hoteliers booking engines do).

So on the hotel website we have descriptions of the standard room, family room and suites and each description has a [Book now] button. With the deeplink you can open the standalone booking engine (not the widget) with that room type / category preselected. Unfortunately, it does that with default stay dates, and when you edit them, you go back to the first step and when you continue, the preselected category is lost and the guest has to choose again.

Yes please! We alreadyhave these sales focusses descriptions on the hotel website with a [Book now], but there is no easy way to directly link to the described package to book it.
You could use a deeplink to preselect the package and room type, but then the booking engine uses the default stay dates, and when you edit them, you go back to the first step and the preselected category and rate is lost and the guest has to go through each step to select a room and rate.
