Mews has integrated the wallet key to open doors via smartphone, but they forgot the second most commonly used method: the code!
It would therefore be interesting if Mews added a dedicated field in each reservation to allow our smart lock providers to automatically add the access code via API connection (ex: SALTO KS)
This would enable the possibility to send the code by email or SMS, and also display it through the Mews kiosk.

The Mews kiosk only allows guests setting up a physical room key card.
However, some hotels use a personalized access code instead of a physical room key card.
It would be interesting if the kiosk could display this access code (e.g., Salto KS).

This creates real operational problems because, for example, in order for a housekeeper to create a housekeeping task on a reservation, we have to grant the “create and manage reservations” permission. However, this permission includes access to guest details (first name, last name, phone number, credit card, etc.). Some guest data is sensitive (such as payment information), and housekeeping or maintenance staff should not have access to certain data.
