  1. On the dashboard of a guest, we cannot see in one eyesight the previous room number, we have to click on details, or open every past bill.
    It will be usefull to have this information on the screen where all past bookings are displayed, especially if it's a returning guest with a lot of previous stays

  4. When changing the dates of a reservation, in my opinion, there is a step missing where Mews confirms if there is availability for the same type of room and informs the new price (to be accepted or not).

  5. Sometimes a guest messages us on the MEWS platform, and then calls and we are able to answer their enquiry over the phone.
    I would then like to be able to mark their message as completed without the guest having to see. This way the next person on front desk will not come along and think that the enquiry still needs to be answered.

  6. It would be great to be able to choose consumption date and time when setting product rules - For example If the product should be added on arrival date or in the night.

    When you have a package that includes dinner at the arrival date it's not optimal to have the consumption date, by defualt set as the day after if the product is added through a product rule.

    As it is now this affects the product reports in a negative way.

  7. I have been facing an issue with my timeline and task donuts as it does not gives me real time data and my timeline if i resolve the overbooking it still keeps on showing the red or orange line for overbooking so i need to log in again and then it gets resolve and this is what we are facing since 2 months and they are still working on the issue lol since 2 months and they will get back to us when they have something lol almost 2 months???

  8. Currently you can set "reservation assignment strategy" to manage how rooms are allocated to reservations (e.g. top down, bottom up etc.). This works well, except there are a couple of rooms that we would like to allocate as "last sell". i.e. all other rooms get allocated automatically according to the reservation assignment strategy, with the exception of certain room numbers, which would get allocated last if the hotel was to be fully occupied.

  9. Rather than having a long list all spaces, by making beds collapsible under their parent room, it will improve the user experience having a short list to scan through when making alterations.

  10. When restrictions are in place (for example: minimal stay 2 nights) the internal user CANNOT see the rate on those given days. In fact when restrictions are in place the hotelier cannot see any of the rates. So when there is a WALK IN or a request the hotelier is flying blind. Therefore: even when restrictions are in place there should be an option that hoteliers or certain users can still see the rates of that day.

  11. Right now to add bookings to the same 'group booking' you have to open the booking then click the '+ reservation' button. If you make a booking through the regular '+' icon that's always visible for example you can't send a confirmation with both bookings in the same email.
    I'd like to have a function that simply allows you to couple or group bookings together to make this process easier.

It is sometimes necessary to block more than one room out of order (an entire floor or entire building in the event of large scale refurbishment work, for example) and it would be helpful to be able to place multiple rooms 'out of order' at once if they all should be blocked for the same dates and same reason.

  13. When clicking on a specific unit, there is a section where you can see all the OOO that are scheduled for that unit and any future OOO scheduled as well. It would be nice to also be able to see what future reservations are scheduled for that unit, in the event we need to see which unit is available for an extended stay booking far out on the calendar.

  15. In a previous system we were able to set up templates for a task which consisted of multiple individual tasks.
    For example if a guest had requested an extra bed, reservations would add one task to the booking which in turn triggered the tasks for housekeeping to set up the bed as well as remove it on departure).
    This was SO handy as it avoided mistakes and reception / reservations only had to add 1 task.
    Of course this works particularly well if you are able to link tasks to a specific event in the reservation like arrival and departure…

  16. At the moment, when you need to allocate the rooms for the arrivals of the day, the display bar shows you ALL the rooms, even those that are out of service, occupied, or reserved. Which doesn't make any sense because there is way too much scrolling up and down to find a "vacant inspected room"

  17. Use case: Guest uses a specific voucher, when booking via the (Distributor) MEWS booking engine, which would trigger a task for reception staff (e.g. to prepare a welcome drink for the guest prior to the guest's arrival).

    Currently these tasks need to be created manually. This enhancement has the potential to save properties time, effecting an improved guest experience.

  18. currently there is a maximum stay of 365 nights. for our business that just isn't acceptable as we regularly have people stay for several years. we would need to split the reservation which would impact on reports and give falls data and comparison figures.
    fair enough if you want to build in a warning message if you book for more than 365 nights, but do not limit a business or allow each business to set their own limit of maximum stay.

  19. In the date filters, latest date remains in the past after earliest date has been set in the future.

    To prevent additional manual work:
    MEWS should automatically change the calendar date to a date later than the check-in date selected. For example, check in date 1/1/2021, check out date should default to 2/1/2021 (and not remain to todays date).

  20. It would be great if there would be the option to add 'House use' on a recurring basis. (For example to block one room for a weekend each month, to make sure to have availability for VIP guests etc).
