  1. A hotel is not just rooms and beds. There are many resources in each hotel. There can be co-working spaces, parking lots, conference rooms, kitchens, sport courts, bikes or boats, sports equipment etc. (the list could be literally endless) and we want to manage them in the system and offer them to the guests just like we offer rooms and beds today. It would allow us to boost the non-accommodation revenue and diversify the hotel's business.

    Dear Mews Customers, 


    I have a fresh update from our development.


    Solution for parking, office and meeting room management has been live and helping hundreds of Mews customers diversify their revenues for quite some time. 


    With the recent release of hourly reservations (details here https://releases.mews.com/en/introducing-hourly-services-to-maximize-your-revenue-PuFPZIwq), we are making it even easier to manage these services. 


    In the coming months, the team will be focusing on improvements for long stays (pro-rata, precise reporting, flexible products & housekeeping intervals etc.)

  2. Currently, once created, bookable services can never be deleted. If you create some by accident you then have to live with them as they take up valuable up display real-estate (and increase the time it takes to figure out what to click on).

    Please introduce the option to delete those (either from the property or from the support level).

    Hello, we are happy to inform you we have enabled service deletion in Mews.

    Bookable services can be now deleted if there is no space category or space feature or reservation linked to them.

  3. A way to only use the Optimize Space Allocation on a selection or Rooms. Specific room types or a selection of any. Locking and unlocking half of the rooms which can't be moved multiple times a week is quite a hassle.

  4. A canceled reservation still appears in the guest's navigator, would it be possible to choose which of them to permanently delete?
    I offer my guests different spaces or tariffs, they choose one, and then the others end up being canceled but they are still present in their navigator, cutting it up. I wish I was able to delete the irrelevant ones.

  5. Allow in the new spacetime for multiple automated no show charging. Currently customers can only select one accounting category for no show charging. When applying multiple business types in one system (which we do already), the system should also cater for multiple no show charges.

    Some time ago, you requested "kindergarten" to be added to the list of supported resource types. 


    For now, we will not implement this functionality. At the same time, we have a very good solution for this use case, already used by some of our customers. Please, let me know if you are interested in learning more details.

  7. Would it be possible to pay per month and not per night? For exampe, our tenants stay at our residence 6 or 12 months. One month costs €510,-. Now I have to calculate it back to the costs per night. So for every month I have to divide the €510,- by 28, 30 or 31 nights. This almost never ends on a rounded number wich makes it a lot of work and the chance of making a mistake or typo is big. Please let me know if this would be possible.

    Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price your services on monthly basis: you do not have to define price for each night, you price full months and there is only one item (month) instead of 30 items (nights) on the bill.


    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

    Hi, to create new reservation of another bookable service linked to a reservation of the Meeting room, please, use Reservation group functionality.   


    You can use the same dates, details etc - just use the "Add another reservation" button in the Reservation flow.  


    Alternatively, you can create a new reservation for the accommodation and merge it with the meeting room booking - again, everything will be in the same reservation group.

  12. MEWS should allow for the users to create rates per spacetype. Currently any rate we create is available for all spacetypes. This results in very slow availability request responses.

  13. Idea:

    • Having Dummy spaces is immensely helpful for hotels, so we can place those guests over there. These are those guests who are not going to arrive or who have booked with an invalid cc. By placing the reservation in dummy, we keep them on a waiting list, while at the same time keeping the reservation active on the OTA channel!

    • It allows us to give preference to guests who pay and weed out fake/ fraud bookers

    • Dummy allows us to directly release the room online and keep the timeline sorted, without having to change the occupancy/ availability manually every…

  15. IF I HAVE A GUEST IN A ROOM FOR 10 NIGHTS AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STAY I NEED TO CHANGE THE ROOM NUMBER I CAN NOT DO THAT AS THE OTHER ROOM NUMBER OF SAME ROOM TYPE WERE OCCUPIED BEFORE SO IT BLOCKS TO CHANGE THE ROOM NUMBER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STAY

  16. Some hostels often have rooms that do not have bathrooms connected and therefore do not have water pipes. In this a few other cases, turning those rooms to "dirty" with reason "legionella" after 7 days unoccupied does not apply.

    Can we add a setting that will allow us to turn off "legionella"?

  17. it would be great if you would be able to filter the availability report per space category - when you have several space categories, you are not able to see everything on the one screen and are not able to see the space category or date when scrolling further to the right on the time line

    I’m happy to announce that it is now possible to create multiple bookable services in Mews and start offering offices, meeting rooms, desks or parking spots to your guests.

    There is a dedicated timeline and reporting for each new service. Services can be offered on daily or overnight basis.

  19. Create limited stock for the different product solded.
    For example, if we sold parking spot, and we have a limited number of them.
    it will be perfect if we can't sell more space than we have, without hve checking every day.

  20. At present the available Space Status are Dirty, Clean & Inspected (OOS & OOO).

    From a front office and housekeeping perspective this is limiting.

    Could you please consider the following please?

    VACANT READY - Inspected
    OCCUPIED DIRTY - Guest checked in
    OCCUPIED READY - Inspected stay over
    VACANT DIRTY - Guest checked out
    PICKUP - Room move and for housekeeping to inspect

    This would offer more clarity as to not only the status of the room but also the ‘condition’, meaning the physical status of the room (guest). This is important for the operation of a hotel.
