It's upsetting to see how many people have been asking for this simple change (and for how long) with no action taken. It's 2026 and several nations even offer gender neutral passport markers (X). Would it be so hard to add even an 'other' or 'prefer not to say' option? I can't remember the last time I only saw male and female in a dropdown menu. We have guests who feel very distressed and disappointed by this upon check-in, and it can sour their whole experience and lead to negative reviews. It's a simple change with seemingly no downsides so why not get with the times rather than othering guests from marginalised communities? It's hard to provide good customer service when we are undermining such a crucial aspect of someone's identity. Please fix this. It's embarrassing.
