Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. You'll find a category here for each of the major topics in property management, and if you can't find the right category, please search or post to the Other category. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  4. Being able to have an audit trail or log of restrictions that have been amended or deleted. Currently if a restriction has been deleted its gone. you cant see who deleted. With regard to amending restrictions yes you have been who and when but you don't know what has been amended/added

  6. 2FA does not authenticate the device rather the sign on, can this be applied as a device authentication rather than sign on as it impedes operations. Feature request to have more flexible ways around using the 2FA a fob to login at the desk for example?

  10. Allow the full user edit screen for admins when editing another user like when your editing your own profile / account.

    We add the users to mews and would include 2FA and profile picture so new users have a fully set up account. Right now these options are not available for admins (we have a specific hardware for 2FA and dont want employees to use their private mobile phones for 2FA for security reasons).

    Also it would be great to have an option to specify what users can change by itself similar to the enforce 2FA. Good behaviour would be…

  11. I have been attempting to limit the access front of office employees have to financial data or payment information which is both sensitive to the business and confidential. MEWS have informed me there is no way in preventing any employee who has access to changing housekeeping status to also view the financials of the business.

    Please could I have some help or if anyone else is finding this as an issue. While creating different roles and users I tested this ability to view all financial information. Therefore, any user with housekeeping privilages can view any information within ‘Finance’ on the…

  13. Restrict some users from being able to delete products within the reservation or billing. Either an approval code from a manager could be entered to allow them to delete it, or the manager themselves who has the permission deletes the product themselves

  14. When using + sign copy over rights of the users to the new user so you dont need to review every box. This will save a lot of time having to manage a chain.

  16. In Spain, where I reside, it is mandatory by law for an invoice to include a passport or ID to be valid. Currently, when a customer enters their passport information into the reservation system, it does not automatically populate on the invoice. This requires manual entry for each reservation, which is time-consuming and prone to errors with all the companies that at least work in Spain.

    Suggested Solution:

    It would be very helpful to have an automatic transfer of the passport information from the reservation system to the invoice field.

  17. On my team, we have a lot of people that "wear many hats" As an example, we have 6 people on the guest services team. 2 of those 6 are concierge as well and will be the ones assigned to follow up with a guest when they request recommendations.

    Instead of assigning a task generally to the whole Guest Services team and wait for these two specific people to address the task, I would like to be able to assign people multiple roles so that those two people can be Guest Services and Concierge. This is just an example, at…

  18. The onboarding manager should stick with the project for 6month to a year and not 5 days after going live. We are a new hotel and did not have reservation prior to going live. now that we are live several questions arise and there is no direct number to contact. I have read the help articles but still do not get a clear answer from them. I have submitted the question through contact us and still have not gotten answers. If there is a number to call direct when it is an urgent need that would be more helpful.

  19. Small one, but can we remove the deleted products from all product reports, this would make it easier for our operations team to pull reports and schedule them.

    Really it's about giving our teams the cleanest data possible, I know they can select or deselect the products – we have a lot of products that were created whilst we were setting up the property, that we really don't need.. and whilst they are deleted – they show up in this report.
    As there aren't any other key filters (eg Product Group) it's just messy and difficult for the operational team…

  20. We should be able to change the base rate of a rate plan in case something was built out incorrectly or changes instead of creating new rate plans for all the one's attached to that derived rate.
