Room assignement by channel origin: OTAs vs Direct bookings
I suggest being able to include as a prominent feature the origin of the client's reservation for room assignment.
The inventory of our establishments may be reduced due to COVID 19 and I would like to be able to "reward" my direct clients with the best rooms in each room type.9 votesHello from the Mews product team,

prepaid reservation
we need to make changes on the prepaid reservation registration form and make it something like not displaying the rates to guest which should be by default because it brings lot of questions in the mind of guest espcecially prepaud reservations from expedia and jcb

Ability to remove the new update 'refresh' notification
It would be great if the notification to refresh the browser due to new updates could be moved/removed without refreshing the browser as it tends to hide part of the timeline, so users are often having to refresh the timeline and get back to the position they were working on every time there is a minor update

It is unlikely that we will remove the refresh function as it is required in order for us to migrate you to a newer version of Mews which often includes the latest security updates. We can however, look into ensuring that the update does not break your workflow on the timeline.
We will be looking into improvments for the timeline in 2022 and will consider your request.

colours for event calendar
I would be really handy to have all day in different colour, where is added some event and not just black dot on the top.

Add the day to the date in the Reservation Overview
Add the day (Mon, Tue, ...) to the date field in the Reservation Overview Report. This feature already exists in the Product Report.

Colour coding of Repeat guests, honeymooners, VIP etc
It would be quicker and easier to identify VIP, Honeymooners, Repeat guests if there was a colour coding system - one look at the reservation would alert you to this important informormation.

icon on timeline for space features of the guests
possibility to add an icon on the timeline to alert of space features request on reservation or guest profile.

Payment Triggers set to Optional Bookings
To avoid hotel staff from taking credit card details over the phone some hotels are creating optional bookings for guests and asking the guest to complete their Navigator profile in order to obtain the guests' credit card details securely. After payment details are supplied the staff are then have to manually change the status of the reservation to confirmed and process payments.
It would beneficial if when a guest completed their profile set up for their optional booking that the status would automatically change to confirmed straight away and any payment automation that it set up is triggered automatically.

Blackground colours in Room Numbers
Option to put different colours in blackground of the Room Numbers.
Notes of Status of the Room. For example:101 in red means that "cot for baby inside the room"

Block room as OOO even if it's occupied
At the moment, if you want to block a space as OOO the space has to be empty. This is really frustrating if you have a big space, eg our 28 bed dorm. I need to unallocate/upgrade all bookings first. It would be easier if I could mark the space as OOO first, then any reservations that can fit into other spaces of this type would be automatically moved. Everything else would sit unallocated for me to upgrade when I'm ready.

Make past and future online checked-in reservations visible
At the moment, online checked-in reservations are only visible on the day of arrival. In statistics you can find the amount of online check-ins in the past and future however, it is not possible to click through and see the specific guest/reservation the online check-in belongs to. Past of future reservations only show a grey 'manage' button.

Automatic Room Upgrades Based on Availability
Would be great if the system could automatically upgrade certain reservations to a higher room category under certain availability circumstance (that could be defined and edited).
ie: If lesser room category is at 100% occupancy, the system would automatically upgrade some reservation to the higher room category, freeing up the lower category to be sold again.

Reservation assignment space status
When a guest books, status inspected should be the preferable choice, then dirty, out of service. That inspected room would be already ready for check-in, whether the out of service room isn't yet.

stay product count different in booking overview
in the reservationo verzicht you see, after the adjustment of the way of showing the tourist tax, now every day a new post of the tourist tax. This is not a problem with a short stay. but if a guest stays for 3 months it becomes a very long list and not really clear anymore.

Reservation Report with locked info
There should be the ‘Locked’ Icon in this screen for and easy and immediate observation of which room/reservation is locked. Now we are obliged to check each one (one by one) to see which are locked (my guessing would be that you could add a new column just for that).

Messaging function upgrade
I love the new feature that the guest can contact us via chat. However, it's not very easy that the guestchat and the intern chat is on the same page. also it is not possible to delete a person in the group (for example when they left, or acidentaly add the wrong person) also a delete button for a chat would be great (intern). does the guest chat also be saved in their

voucher code analysis
We currently can only filter for used vouchers and are not able to filter for used voucher codes.
This forces us to create multiple vouchers in case we want to analyse certain cooperations.
If would be much more useful, if we could also filter the reservations report by "voucher codes" --> this would enable us to use e.g. one PROMO Code marketing voucher and give if various voucher codes.33 votes -
Keep Timeline on future date without jump back to today after refresh
Working on multiple future bookings from the timeline it does not make sense that after every refresh of the browser, the date jumps back to today. Could work great with toggle on and off fuction

Clearly show when a group has been split into different rooms on the timeline
It would be SO useful if any group reservation that has been split into different rooms could be signalled on the timeline either by a symbol (such as the current upgraded, female traveller and return guest symbols) or by an on-screen prompt that notifies you that they are currently in separate rooms.
