Thank you for your valuable insights on this topic. I am happy to inform you that this feature is now live and ready to use for all* users.
*Please note that France and Guadeloupe will be soon be given access to this feature as well, whereas development is still ongoing to serve your legal requirements.
More information can be found in this release note.
To add, soon restored canceled reservations will as well be shown in reporting, in order to give you a clear insight.

Hi there Mewsers!
You’ve asked and we’ve listened.
We upgraded the action log to make it more detailed and easier to use.
Below are some of the additional details that we’ve added.
Before, when a reservation moved to a different room, you couldn’t see which room it was in originally—now you’ll always see exactly how the reservation looked before and after each change.
We’ve enhanced updates for products. You’ll now be able trace for example, the additions of order items as well as the price adjustments made to your products.
And finally on the pricing side, no need for a calculator! You can now monitor and report on changes to prices with the both net and gross values, as well as the affects the changes you’ve made have on taxes.
We will continue working on updates to the action log for different sections of the system. Stay tuned for more!

An error occurred while saving the comment david commentedI encounter the same issue. For instance, I have a release of 2 days on my flexible rates, after which, even though the same "flexible" rate is displayed, it has a non-refundable condition. So I would like to change the automatic charge to be 100% only for same-day arrivals. But at the moment, I cannot configure 2 different automatic charges on this flexible rate group.
It'd be great if this could be developed!
At the moment the staff has to manually charge same-day arrivals...david supported this idea · -

Now you can add calendar events in your Enterprise Settings. These show as an icon & note on the Rate Management & Timeline screens, and on the Availability and Occupancy reports.

Have had this filter on the reservation report for a few months now. Sorry for not updating you earlier – there was another item that requested the same and we did not realize there was a duplicate.

Had the same issue Steve had down here.
The restriction tool is not user friendly at all when compared to the one provided in Siteminder.
In Mews, there's no way to independently select a restriction, say, for all but one space type, nor all but one particular rate group, etc.
For instance, if you do want to keep opened one specific type or rate but close all others, this forces you to create one single restriction for every condition.
When you have a long list of space types or rates, this means creating multiple lines (up to 10 restriction lines per day in my case!) and losing a lot of useful time.
Also, there's no way to make a difference for restrictions you want to apply in OTAs only, but not restricted in your own booking engine or for walk-ins or direct groups... At the moment I have to unrestrict a days whenever the front desk has to create a direct reservation on a restricted day. Every single time!
So yes, at the moment the only workaround is to manage restrictions from my channel manager instead.
This solution could be a great improvement for rate management.
