New mail templates and customizations
New e-mail templates and e-mail customization options
We delivered customization of all emails which Mews send to guests.
We will start collecting new feedback for missing placeholders and other things separately

It should be usefull to have guest name in {detailsHtml} so the booker can see who is in which room and for who he booked a room

It would be very usefull if the mail templates would be all the same (html or not) and a bit more adaptive in lay out (color, entering spaces, alignment) to make it more easy to read for our guests

In the before start email the closing is not customizable. At the moment the closing is "Kind regards", which is pretty formal and not suitable for many brands. Therefore the introduction of an customizable footer would be great.

In theory, all email templates should allow HTML. This eliminates a ton of headaches and workarounds.

Customize the 'customer added' email - currently this email goes out to every guest and does not display correctly when sent through an OTA. This is often the first email a guest receives and is vitally important to get right, the tone of voice in the existing template may not suit the hotel it's being sent from. Having the ability to customize it would make a big difference to the customer journey.

Multiple selections of mail template for confirmation(with//without price; different cancellation policies depending on rate and space categories/ Different T&Cs and in each one associate triggers to allow Mews to know when a specific one should be sent out.

The standard ''Oh no, your payment failed'' is not every hotels standard tone of voice. Also, we do not have the 24 hours policy to authorize. This should be dealt with ASAP since we have a lot of unsatisfied customers having these emails sent.

At this moment the e-mail named "before start" it's text is centered in the middle and not at the left as the other e-mail. It would be great if you could take care of this alignment too.

Mews is sending email to our guest, which we cannot control. This is the most important one, we receive a LOT of complaints!

Dear Mews,
I have a few tips:
- Would it be nice if there was a possibility to add details, etc. by automatically sent mail?
- It would be great if in the future there would be an opportunity where automatic mails can be disabled per guest (that you make this a management function). I get a lot of complaints about this!
- That the layout of invoices can be changed more. For example, a larger hotel logo.
- Drawing up the bills is not much easier at the moment. I believe this could be easier.
- The templates of the mails not in HTML code? This is not always easy.Thanks in advance!

This Idea only makes sense, since the other E-Mail templates can be customizable in HTML. Having the pre-arrival E-Mail non HTML is inconsistent for the corporate identity when the other E-Mails look more classy.

The pre-arrival mail was recently released as a new functionality. Which was very handy to inform customers about the COVID measures taken in the hotel. At this moment, you can't style this email template. Only add plain text.
Please upgrade this functionality so it fits the brand of the hotel and a possiblity to add images and others. -

I love that you can set up things like confirmation emails directly in Mews rather than having to plug in a third party. But having to do it all in HTML feels outdated. Can we get a WYSIWYG?

Hotels should be able to further customize email communication from Mews. Be able to schedule the emails, decide on the target group of guests (by segment, rate type, space type, origin of reservation, classification, etc), create custom emails. Right now the emailing function is limiting and hotel can only choose limited amounts of templates and outside of customizing the content, they can't customize anything else.

Also the MEWS texts that are used in non adjustable email are horrible and not guestfriendly

to customize the text of each mail template you can use mailchimp to create different and complete templates, after creating them you can export them in HTML and opening them with a note app you just have to copy and paste it into mews.. By the way it is still unfunctional having only one template for each trigger, so I upvoted this, too. I agree with Benno about 1)b and about 3) and 4)

Custom header for email templates. Allow for option to "hide" hardcoded logo and for properties to code their own headers. Make the logo position / placement in the email templates optional

Hi MEWS team,
here are some suggestions:
1) Customization of email-templates:
there is sometimes the need to add some custom text. This can be accomplished in 2 ways:
a) bei adding a placeholder "CustomText" which can be filled before sending the
e.g. confirmation email
b) Better (as seen in other PMS): before sending see the email in Rich Text Format
where eventual adjustments can be made (-> this solution works like a charme)2.) Absolutely needed!!!! Please add a "Before Start" trigger. Is needed to send some check-in details or other useful information for arrival
3.) Possibility to set up more mail templates, not only one per trigger
4.) History of emails sent to guest should be attached and seen in the reservation details, not only as info but also as preview if selected
